Congratulations to ESET for the 25 years of anti-virus industry excellence.
I have run ESET A/V since version 2.7 and continue to run a current version.
Glad to have been able to contribute at Wilders, with Support, some evangelism and elsewhere, like Twitter and other social media.

Thanks to Marcos for always being at Wilders when someone needs help in the eleventh hour. Thanks as well to all the other ESET Moderators for their continued support and assistance.

The only thing that stopped me from using my 3 year ESS license and switching to another solution is the fact that Eset lost its reign in the AV Tests. It always scores bad and I wish they do something to improve their detection rates, etc. to go on top again I wish to switch back to Eset's products one day

One thing is how an AV performs in tests and another thing how it performs in real life. I dare to say that ESET excels in the latter :)

Please create a new thread for this issue. If you have Windows XP, it could be another 3rd party driver interfering with EAV.

I know that you like to use the ones that score 100% at AV-C.

But do you really think that only because it scores 100% at a test it automatically means that it will protect you against 100% of the threats out there? If you thought YES then you thought wrong. :)

    Hello,

I saw two scenes with guitars in the video:

@4:30 - appears to be Sebastien Bortnik

@4:50 - appears to be Juraj Malchol

Bandicoot continues to work at ESET and play the guitar, but I do not think he was in the office when the video was shot.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

    Thanks Aryeh :thumb:

I did remember me the following; I just found the old thread back:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=99324 NOD32 Rocks :)
But I don't know whether it's still at the ESET site.

Eset did a splendid video, for some time ago, and now I have an idea for a new one. The good guys at Fermilab did a Harlem Shake. Can we expect to see a Harlem Shake from Eset in the near future , I would gladly finance a pair of dancing shoes. Harlem Shake - Fermilab Edition :D :D :)

    Regards,Janus

These stupid tests are meaningless crap. They are there purely to sell the products if the vendors pay enough money in.

    Contratulations Eset.
According to AV test - I think that those are pointless and not showing reality.
For me AV is good when I don't see it all the time and it is protecting me in background = eset do it perfect.

    Best wishes to eset.

A good way to see how well a AV is performing is to visit the forums. This will show you how well they are perfoming in the real world.

I second that. Just compare the number of reports about false positives or undetected threats in ESET's forum with other vendors' forums.
