You could use a VPN service, or even an "anonymous" HTTPS proxy, that YouTube accepts.

You could use an HTTPS proxy in your browser.

Routing a VPN service through Tor or JonDo would take more work.

I already know how to do it with other proxies. I just can't use it with Tor.

Have you tried Tor plus an HTTPS proxy? That should hide the Tor exit IP address.

[post moved over from: Windows 8 - privacy nightmare ?]

Give me an example of one? How does that help me log into youtube through tor? I already have https enabled on tor for youtube. I already use a vpn + tor. Doesn't help me log in through tor though.

This is from the Windows 8 thread. I think that you got threads confused.

I wasn't referring to HTTPS, but rather to "anonymous" HTTPS proxy servers. For example, HideMyAss (gag) provides a free list at -http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/.

Anyway, upon reflection, I realize that using a proxy server with Tor isn't simple either, because the Tor browser is already set up using the Tor proxy.

I believe that you'd need to use VMs. It could be done with two VMs. The host would run your outer VPN. There'd be a Tor gateway VM, connecting through the outer VPN. And there'd be a workstation VM, connecting through the Tor gateway VM, running your inner VPN. YouTube would see the inner VPN exit IP address, rather than a Tor exit.

How about enabling scripts only for youtube on Jon Do? I hope this doesn't compromise my anonymity.

I am definitely not enabling scripts on tor. Too dangerous.

Apparently, the Epiphany Browser for Linux Liberte allows Youtube logins from Tor although Epiphany Browser doesn't provide as much anonymity as Tor Browser Bundle (according to ip-check.info).
