Seeker, where are they? I'm dead serious, I only see them in the off-site articles, not the Drudge Report itself. Again, this is regardless of AM being on or off. Can you point out an area on the front page or stick a screenie in here?

Edit: I looked at my log and saw a short list of "cdn.intermarketing" entries, but still even with AM off I don't see a single ad. What's more, with AM off and on, DoNotTrackMe is not reporting a single tracker on that site, so I'm not even sure what those entries are.

I'm just..confused. Not a single one of those are seen on my side. One thing is for sure, I can't say AM is or isn't working on that site because it's clean as a whistle regardless. This here is literally the only "ad" I see there, and I'm not even sure that counts as an ad.

Are you using a customised HOSTS file, such as MVPS HOSTS?

Nope, haven't used one in years. I always relied on ABP until I came to AM. This is amusing, all this time I've complained about AM not getting rid of stuff, now I'm lost trying to figure out why everyone is seeing stuff but me :D

Do the ads not appear in all browsers?

Well I'm testing this from Chrome, so I'll hop on IE 10 and report back.

Edit: Oh wow, on IE 10 the place has at least 4 ads with AM off, none with AM on. So Chrome is magical :D I'm totally stumped. My machine is "speshul"..I knew I shouldn't have bought it from Best Buy.

Yeah..but what the heck man? Lol. I've never been so frustrated, yet entertained by one program in all my life. Some days I want to dump it, and then stuff like this happens and I can't help but just keep trying to comprehend the enigma that is AM.

You're on your own here. Why you're seeing no ads in Chrome, even with AM disabled is beyond me. Are you sure Chrome has no extensions running?

Well as I said, I use DoNotTrackMe, but that's not an adblocker, and I've tried it on and off. Nobody could figure out why they had clean pages when I didn't either. Poor Jeffrey spent a lot of time with me on it. Now I seem to have the opposite issue...nice to be on this side of the fence :D

I think this may be what is conflicting with AM.

No extension on Chrome? No plugin? Chrome doesn't block ads without those. You might try a 'wipe' of Chrome.. Uninstalling it,t hen going to appdata and manually removing the directory, then reinstalling.

Drudgereport has tons of ads and trackers, it's a mess.

DoNotTrackMe does block ads with tracking capabilities,so in effect any ad that is also a tracker is blocked by DoNotTrackMe.

    Excerpt
    When you’re using DNTMe:

    - Block cookies that store your info
    - Block ads with tracking capability, including annoying ads that seem to follow you everywhere you go.

You can read its fill features here in google extension page
    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/donottrackme/epanfjkfahimkgomnigadpkobaefekcd?hl=en

Well, it's certainly possible, but as I said earlier, in Chrome I wasn't seeing a darn thing. In IE 10, yep, those ads were right smack in my face without AM running. I even turned DNT off in Chrome, cleared the cache, and the place was spotless as far as I could see. Now click an article and go off-site, that was an entirely different story. Perhaps it's Chrome period, I just don't know. Like I said though, it was nice to have a totally different issue for once :D

Thanks for linking that, Arsenaloyal. The Google store page for the extension differs a bit from the DNT website, which is what I've always read since it loads it up upon install. For sure there is different behavior in Chrome than there is IE 10. Since a lot of folks involved in the AM discussions are working with Opera, I think it's time I took a little free time here and tested AM with it, just to see what happens.

Holy cow, AM is a champ on Opera. The "heavy" sites I tested out were 99% clean. Too bad using the browser for that 20 minutes made me want to cry. Dear God is that snapshot slow, even with HWA turned on :'(

I'm sorry we don't have a chart like you want.

Why don't you make one? :)

Come to the IRC channel and I can give you the information and you can ask questions and tabulate the info then make a fancy chart.

That's all I can do though since I'm so busy removing ads...

    Anyone not running Ad Muncher?

    Load this page:

    http://tinyurl.com/ap7tz4m

Do you see a 12 second timer before you can view the article?

Anyone running Ad Muncher and list build 4419+ will not see this.

the article will be available instantly. :)

Ad Muncher bypasses 1000's of similar timers and interstitials...

    ABP can not bypass these.

clear your cookies to test this over and over again.

Its a very nice feature from Ad Muncher. I visited this website for curiosity and I noticed some problem with the page layout. :doubt:

Jeffrey, as you can recall I had a problem with this site and we discussed it in the forum about 3 weeks ago...Anyhow, I enclose a screenshot, taken just now and it appears, that an ad is not being filtered.

it looks to be a local ad, one that never appears for me when I visit yahoo AU.

    not much I can do...

you can try sending me a copy of the source for that page in an email.
