What would be your picks of antivirus programs for a dual engine scanner? I've not listed every single engine available but have tried to list most of them. I've not listed products like G Data as they already have dual scanners inside. I included Emsi just for their antimalware signatures and engine, not for their Bitdefender component.

Pick Two from the list. If you select "other" please state in your comments why you decided that way. There is also the option to select both engines as "other".

    I voted:

    Avast + Emsisoft Anti-Malware

I think that would be a killer combo

Imagine having those two engines in one suite, then adding Malwarebytes as a separate program.

You're talkin' a lean, mean fighting malware machine.

You guys gave me some ideas, BD + MBAM would be a killer combo also.
I wonder what would EAM + MBAM would look like, since the 2 engines are focused on new threats rather than having a huge database of older malware.

I doubt any dual engine scanner would be able to get MSE on it.

Since 1 engine scanner itself gives FPs, for dual I'd go with the combination of Avast and MBAM.

Nod32 + WSA would be the best for me.

  16. Whatever combination Hitman Pro uses... on a live CD. That would be the AV to end all AVs.

BitDefender and Kaspersky. It would bring the mightiest computer to a crawl, but at least it wouldn't get infected!

Add MBAM to a lot of those choices and it'd make for a very comprehensive product. I chose it & BitDefender.
