    OK, thank you.
We will inform about OSSS beta-stage.

Currently we have Cezurity Antivirus Scanner (it is a free product, you can use it as antirootkit/antimalware, it is based on OSAM and other new technologies with automatical cure), one minus -- we have no multilanguage version of it, because it is beta, currently it is on Russian only.

Thank you Mihail Fradkov, for keeping us updated on OSSS, nice to see it is still alive 'n' kickin. :D
I'd also be interested in testing out a new beta version of OSSS when it is ready. :thumb:

Mihail, is OSAM working again ? I used it in the past and it was very useful to check the system.

I tried OSAM...it works, properly connect with online base for checking the risk detected processes, but I noticed that all processes of e.g. McAfee are completely unknown.

Their forum is disabled at least 4 months. Therefore all documentation is not avaliable. I don't understand why this documentation has not been published on the website.

I can't find information about OSSS license prices on the developer's website. Why this information has not been published there?
UPD: I found these prices here:
    1 PC - $25
    3 PC - $50
    5 PC - $ 75

AFAIK, the program's signature database has not been updated at least 6 months.

I know about this already a few months. I think this means that the OSAM's development has been stopped. This is a very sad news, because OSAM is a very good program.

I'm finally finished reading this thread. I think that the OSSS's developers should learn to perceive objective criticism and stop to think as a developers. They should start to think as a users .

It's nothing wrong to think as developer. But you also have to be able to put yourself in a skin of a casual and also power user. You need to look at it from user's perspective in order to achieve the max efficiency in GUI design, functions and usability. This is mostly the users part. Developer's part is the scan engine and other under the hood stuff that usually doesn't affect users directly.

At this time OSSS is completely unusable for average users. Only professionals can use it.

AFAIK, the program does not have built-in help file. Without it average user cannot configure OSSS, but professional can do this.

You forgot about Comodo's HIPS. Even average users can configure it.

" Configure " an HIPS mean set it totally with singular and dedicated rules, process for process, applications for applications...;many HIPS today offer, like Comodo does, general default settings.

Comodo (instead of OSSS) has online help manual. Therefore is no problem to configure it.

According this post the first beta OSSS 2.0 was to be released in second half 2012. Now is January 2013. Why the beta has been postponed?
