It seems to happen when the antivirus is updated.

I have not rebooted my PC in 12 days but never had an issue before this.

I attached my about screen. I can provide more details as needed.

This just started happeing to me too about 2 or 3 days ago. I don't have any other memory related issues and tests with mbam and MS defender both come back clean.

Eset did find a threat that none of the other programs found and removed "Java/Agent FD Trojan." This seems to be around the same time the program error started happening.

From the log file of what was removed, "a variant of Java/Exploit.CVE-2012-1723.DT trojan - was a part of the deleted object."

After doing some memory tests I can safely rule out hardware issues.

The error messages that I get are just like the posters above. The memory faults seem to be happening at different memory locations at each crash just like his.

    Hello markjrenna

Just some thoughts. Sorry that my suggestion may seem too simplistic, but have you tried to completely shut down your system, to see if that will do a difference. Or you could try to uninstall your current nod32 installation, and download the newest version of nod32 5.2.15 to see if it will solve your issue.

    Regards, Janus

I have the same problem since 3 days ago also. I have scanned for viruses, don't know what to do. Eset crashes I need to restart to assure protection.

I have shut down completely (rather than restarting) and the crash happened eventually also.

    Hello rgwil

mmmh, seems to be a lot of post's regarding memory related issues lately,.. but have you tried to completely remove nod32, by doing a manually uninstall by using the uninstaller tool, before installing nod32 again? (just to see if the installation, or some files from eset, could somehow be corrupted) if that do not help, then I would definitely open a support ticket to Eset's customer care, supplemented with a Eset Sysinspector log to start with.

    Regards, Janus :)

Re: ESET NOD32 Antivirus: egui.exe - Application Error - possible found solution

Ok installed 5.2.15.0 (latest Eset smart security) 6 hours ago (last night following through the suggestion). This morning there seems to be no problem. So this might be the solution install 5.2.15.0 (latest Eset smart security). If I have 0 problems with this solution I will not come to post again here - consider it resolved for my computer the memory crashes.

    Thanks for the community support!

Thanks for the feedback, rgwil , and let's hope everything is ok now, fingers crossed. :) ...(if not, then I think you should contact Eset support as stated in post 6)

I had the same issue beginning a few days ago. I updates Eset Smart Suite to the latest version 5.2.1.5, I have Windows 7 (all updated) and I take care of my machine .. but that error just happened AGAIN, so the newest version of ESET Smart Security Suite STILL has this issue!!

I dont know if its a Windows issue or an ESET issue .....

    Hello,

Had this recently, BUT I trying to find out what's wrong in the night.
Finally I think I managed to solve this.
Just deinstall product completely and afterward download newest live installer and install product.
    For me everything works now.

I was also trying to just upgrade and so on.. but finally I think it has to be completely deinstalled and then installed again (actually I made a reboot after installation, don't know if this changes anything).

My case + sysinspector file are with Eset presently. I can try to uninstall again and reinsall, although I did this 3 -4 hours ago, and it took 3-4- hours before the software crashed... so I stay tuned ... since you might have a crash this evening :cautious: .... I reservedly keep a certain doubt untill a few days / weeks have gone by without a crash.

This appears to have resolved the issue...

    Version 5.x:
    http://kb.eset.com/zap/SOLN2788

But I'd hope eset finds out why it happened. Never had an issue in years.

    rgwil,

right click on eset tray icon-> About, then select one of modules, Ctrl+A (to select all), then Ctrl+C (to copy) and Ctrl+V(to paste).
