    BitDefender.

Reason being it performed at the top/near the top of every test AV-C performed. It really has evolved since the 2012 beta.

If Emsisoft was part of AV-Comparatives products the first post on this thread would be different.

Mfw~ People voteing for the AV they use currently and ignoring the fact that this thread is about AV-C and what performed best which is obvious.

Does it matter? The only reason I read the summary reports is to see the comments about the various vendors. What's more important is your "product of the year" :D

I'm sure the mods understand that and won't allow the thread to veer off topic, PJC. Do not worry. I guess I caused the issue by using the word "product" instead of "AV", so for that I am sorry.

I agree with you that the best product award has relevance, but like I said this is not an absolute criterion. :)

Bitdefender AV 2013 is my bet for AV of the year (they improved considerably when it comes to resource usage)

edited the post to be a little more on-topic :)

Probably Bitdefender. But that would show that tests measure only a few aspects of a product. BD gets high detection rates, fairly low false positives and is decently light on resources and easy use. But it is buggy as hell and always has been. And their customer support is pretty bad as well. I doubt anyone at AV-C uses it long term on their own machines. A snapshot in time of BD shows it's one of the best av's available but long term use of the product usually shows just the opposite.
