Reporting death of forum member.

I wanted to let folks know, "Musicman" on this forum passed away back in 2010. I had not heard myself until recently as I had lost contact with him for a couple years - it's heart wrenching to find out he died second hand. Todd was a good friend (that I didn't always keep up with) of mine going back nearly 25 years. A wonderful musician, pilot, computer geek, and devoted father. He was only 50.

His final facebook post:

Dear friends,

I have sad news tonight. The brain MRI revealed the cancer has spread aggressively into my brain. The doctor did not hesitate to tell me how long I have to live: two months. I am sad to say I do not believe his estimate is low enough. I will be surprised if I live one full month. This is intuition speaking but I still think I'm right.

You know what scares me most? I'm afraid the memorial service will be poorly attended. Isn't that a silly thing to worry about? But there it is... I've got fantastic speakers, a wonderful minister, superb music picked out, and I'm just worried no one will see and hear it all.

My daughter is coming home to see me one last time. If any of you are inclined to visit, NOW would be the time. Someday soon, I will simply fall asleep and not wake up. I will drift from a coma into death and everyone has DNR instructions. I WANT to die AT HOME.

Well, visit me if you want. You don't have much time. I love you all.

Reading that was hard. I have a 17yr old daughter and can not imaging leaving her. RIP Todd and my heart goes out to his family.

One of if not "the" most difficult things we face "death" i pray for those that were close to him that the Lord would comfort them as no one else can, and for those of us that remain to use this time to reflect on our own eternal resting place..
