Very happy so far with my Online Armor / AppGuard combo. I had to add Online Armor to Power Apps, but otherwise no conflicts. Online Armor has also asked me to allow common programs such as Left 4 Dead 2, Notepad++, but it's reasonable.

Well if you got infected I wouldn't recommend running without a real-time AV, that's for sure. Run a light one with a simple file shield/guard only IMO, no extras. Any competitive brand will offer you similar detection rates so it's all about how it runs on your box.

    And use Sandboxie too.

Drop SAS and add VT Hash Check for an on demand option.

I assume you have a router and/or inbound firewall with all ports stealthed?

    And you're good to go...

Sandboxie, Shadow Defender, and Comodo FW/D+ 5.10, on well hardened XP Pro. A setup I suspect I'll have for quite some time (to EOL and beyond)...

    and some other stuff

A few errors (service and driver loading when switching user) made me go back to ESET.
Overall it is great product and I'm sure you gonna like it. I will probably come back to it after a while.

Decided to backup Comodo Firewall 5.12 to an image and give Online Armor 6 a shot.

Wasn't convinced that I wanted to install the new release of Comodo FW due to:

    a) its being brand new...and...

    b) ...my having Sandboxie (paid) fine tuned to administer a variety of apps.

Since I'd had issues with the last few releases of OA due to intermittent and excessive CPU usage by oasrv.exe, I was hopeful but skeptical.

Anyway, it's only a day and a half later but so far it's been smooth sailing (as in years past). Now, only the passage of time will tell.

i havent buy Emsisoft Anti-Malware 7.0 so i will decide what to run with OA Premium ;)
the only concern i have it is that webroot already have a firewall in real time so i may just run ikarus and webroot and not use emsisoft antimalware cause i havent buy it.but imagine if the boxing day good discount brings a new tentation to buy:)

Was running Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials, which auto-upgraded to Complete a few days ago; that's the only thing that has changed.

Uh well, some jockeying of the sig is soon in order.

Untill compatibility matches are sorted out for my Windows 8 system, you can consider the apps below exclusive to XP Pro/Win 7 give or take........

I can't remember which browser you are running, Blues.
If it's Chrome, I'll be interested in hearing about the SBIE-Chrome-OA triangle that caused issues with Chrome being able to run properly.
As I recall, Emsisoft engineers were admitting it was their problem and vowed to fix it. That's the reason I removed OA and went with CFW w/D+. :)

How's it going Page? Long time.

I'm still using Firefox (current version) so I'm afraid I can't be of help there.

    Hey E
    Things are great, man. Thanks.
Yes, I'd forgotten about Firefox, sorry.
Real glad to hear, though, that the current combo is working well for you.
