NOD32 Disabled by Some Virus

I use NOD32 4.0 on my desktop. Today on booting the system instead of normally going to Windows XP I got a blue screen with a message that one of my disks needs to be checked for consistency and over the next minute or so it went on changing lot of, what looks like files and registry entries (Images 1,2,3).

After the process the system booted up properly but NOD32 wasnt available in the system tray and I am unable to open it manually. I am getting a message that says NOD32.exe is an invalid file. Except for NOD32 every other file and program are working properly including Sysinspector.

I did a Malware Bytes scan and it shows that Security Center has been disabled (Image 4).

Can anyone please look at these screenshot images and tell me what the problem could be an how do I solve it.

I'd suggest:
1, running an online scan with the ESET Online Scanner
2, running ESET Rogue Application Remover downloadable from here
3, uninstalling EAV using the Uninstall tool in safe mode
4, installing v. 5.2.9 from scratch, updating the signature database and running a full disk scan

Have you tested the hard disk drive for errors using the manufacturer's diagnostic program? Most computer and hard disk drive manufacturers offer some sort of self-booting image you can download and burn to a CD or DVD and then boot the computer off of to test the hard disk drive.

always use PASSORD for your configuration setting of NOD32 so nothing can disable it except you
