Couldn't agree more. Haven't voiced my concerns at Comodo forum's....yet.

A sad, all too familiar story. A company becomes really good at something, and puts out a product to reflect that. Then they think: gee, lets add something else to it. And then another feature... and then another features. RAWR.... must have more features! Then that nice trim, dedicated app you had to address that 1 need turns into a 12 headed monster, bloated with stuff you don't need at all.

Which wouldn't be a problem if they just offered some "slim" versions as well for the people that don't want all these added features. There are some people out there that want an all-encompassing suite. So they've got it. But for the guy that just wants a FW, or maybe with D+ too, they should be able to get what they want as well, even if it means paying for it.

I'd drop down $50 or so for a slim version (6) with just the FW & D+ in a heartbeat. Until that time comes I'm sticking with v 5.10. And if the time never comes, and I have reason to believe 5.10 is no longer secure, I'll be changing to another product.

It,s not such a big deal IMO. I am using version 6 beta 2. I installed only FW. I am using HIPS in safe and non-verbose mode. FW default settings. Disabled behav blocker, disabled cloud, no AV and not using Sandbox.

It seems to work great with very few pop up alerts. Tried on real XP system and Win 7 in Vbox. In XP SP2, I have even added SBIE to it and so far no conflicts.

Replaced AVG 2013 Free with Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.0.1
    Kingsoft Antivirus 2012 [Cloud]
    Malwarebytes
    Windows Firewall

    Firefox extensions:
    Adblock Edge
    WOT
    BetterPrivacy 1.68

I'm sure there are way better setups but like I said before, I'm no computer whiz. I'd be happy to see any recommendations or suggestions.

Two of the best together, nice combination. It would defeat even the dastardly Dr Vulcan.;)

Webroot will upgrade Essentials to Complete for you for free. Maybe they are doing it automatically by now, not sure.

Hitman Pro is always good to have. And a system image in case something gets by. Restore is easier than repair.

There's the free version that will scan, if something is found you can upgrade to one month free of paid version that will remove malware, and after that you can buy the full version or revert to the free one. http://www.surfright.nl/en

It is a Russian security suite which uses Outpost Firewall and Virusbuster Engine as scanner
even though the firewall is good, the scanner is not good (read below industry average)
