    We recommend EMSX (ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server) because it is optimized for the Exchange environment and has automatic exclusions which automatically detects and excludes critical server files for smooth operation. This should save you some time in getting it set up.

    For more info, check out the product page here: http://www.eset.com/us/business/products/mail-exchange/

    Greetings!

    We just upgraded - not quite two weeks ago. Prior to installing EMSX on our Exchange Server 2010, we had VIPRE for Exchange. I wasn't happy with VIPRE so I went with EMSX. I am hopeful that I can get the performance tuning figured out, because right now I am struggling with the settings. It was so easy to setup, and I followed the whitepaper to the letter - BUT - my Exchange Server crashes several times per day, so just be mindful that while the install is a snap, the care/attention after install is the money maker! And I am really just still in troubleshooting mode, so I can offer no sage words.

    Our setup is as follows:

    • Server #1 (Remediation) --> ESET Endpoint Server + Remote Administrator
    • Server #2 (Exchange 2010) --> ESET Mail Security for Exchange
    • Workstations --> ESET Endpoint Client v5 on a blend of Windows 7 32/64. + ESET NOD32 Client v4 on a blend of Windows 7 32/64 and a few Win XP

    The last bullet above is sort of the key for now (for us anyway), as the NOD32 v4 still communicates with the Endpoint Server and doesn't seem to give the users any guff. On our terminal server however, I installed v5 and havoc ensued. I took it off and plan to (but haven't yet) installed v4 again.

    Do you also use the ESET Endpoint software in your environment?

    Best of luck!

    Hello sys_smp,

    We recommend EFSW (ESET File Security for Windows Server) because it is optimized for a server OS and has automatic exclusions which automatically detects and excludes critical server files for smooth operation. This should save you some time in getting it set up.

    For more info, check out the product page here: http://www.eset.com/us/business/products/file-windows/

    I would recommend installing ESET File Security for Windows Server on your terminal server. If you installed an ESET product on your terminal server and problems began, you might try following this link.

    Thanks,
