I just re-installed WSA for another go. Looks like it's been steadily improved over the last half-year since I bought a license. Maybe the false positives are getting fewer now? Really lightweight. I like that it works with the Windows firewall to monitor out-bound. Guess there are no downloads for signatures now, they are in the cloud.

 

In the CONS section: "Unusual detection technique not compatible with standard lab tests." May explain why it doesn't test as well with AVC.

Edit: After reading the full article, they do in fact mention the AVC tests.

 

Yes, the reviewer seems impressed at how well WSA works even though it uses a combination of original methods of protection. So long as WSA is lightweight and improves security without interfering with Sandboxie and my normal computing, I'm happy.

 

I bought and installed this AV yesterday and I must say that this is the best purchase I have made since buying Sandboxie licence.

The impact on system is minimal and lowest I have ever seen with any AV (even lower than Nod32's).
I specially like the idea of "sandboxing" unknown processes and reverting it's actions if it gets identified as malware.

My only fear is that it would get in some clash with SBIE as some users reported. So far I really like both products and I wouldn't like to have to choose only one of them.

Webroot you have done a great job with this software and I hope you'll keep it up

 

I could not agree more. I have used AV solutions since their inception, and
Webroot is by far the best in total performance of anything I have used and tested.

I'd rather 'click once' to say 'no-go zone'. does 'custom scan' prevent future snooping where nominated?
