working fine here for over a year now.

I actually have a question. I like the USB Vaccinattion feature, but it's only available in the PRO version. I do have a PRO license, but I'd rather like to stick with Windows Firewall instead of enabling Panda Cloud Pro's firewall.

Is there a way for me to enable USB Vaccination w/o activating the firewall?

The USB Vaccine is not connected to the firewall and the latter can be turned off completely upon installation/ugrade. Also, PCAV automatically turns on the Windows firewall when the Panda firewall is disabled.

I renewed my Panda Cloud license a few weeks ago. It chugs along light and smooth and I do like having the firewall and AV combined in this format. With Panda on one laptop, Webroot Essentials on the other and common sense browsing I'd say I should be in good hands...

(off topic) - I would have thought, since you are such a big fan, you would install Emsisoft on all your relatives and friends systems. Worth the money if you ask me!

Well i did consider installing EAM (Got a multiple PC license) but decided not to do it because it's not really that easy to use. My uncle would feel overwhelmed by all the pop ups from the behavior blocker and surf protection so it's a no go. :D
I only have EAM installed on one of my friends laptop and all of my computers.

I hope PCAV does a good job with my uncles PC because he gets infected all the time LOL. :ninja:

Does anybody has Panda Cloud and Privatefirewall installed? How they are working together?I'm asking because i tried 2 times already this combo and all i get after Windows restarts is a black screen.PCAV was first installed and after Privatefirewall's requested reboot, black screen. After that,a clean image and installed Privatefirewall first, rebooted.Installed PCAV,restart, black screen again.I think its an incompatibility between them, because i never had this problem with Privatefirewall and another AV.For example,i use AVG free now and it works flawlessly along PVTFW.

Actually it is worth the money thanks to Emsisoft Referral Program. If a friend or family member gives EAM a trial you get a month free on your EAM and if they decide to buy you get 6 months free. :D

You could just not check for paranoid mode for uncle's laptop you know. Because I know how you like EAM all tightened up and all. Also alerts on BB is very easy to deal with. There are recommendations by community users on the alert you know. Your uncle would just need to allow if most users allow it. :)

Well in that case PCAV will not be as good at the job as EAM I'm afraid. :doubt:

Oh then it's okay. :D But I would put sbie instead of an AV in laptop. Only sbie and win fw would do. ;)

Why is Panda Cloud leaving so much junk behind after detection? I'm testing it for 3 days now and while its detecting a lot of stuff, after doing a Full Scan, it again finds loads of stuff again. Every other AV, if it detects a threat on-access straight away, it fully cleans it. Just not Panda. Why?

That seems kind of contrary to their very good results on the recent AV-Comparatives test, which I would like to congratulate them for doing so well on.

When was 2.0.1 released? I haven't used this computer where I have PCAV since October 30 and today I noticed that PCAV webpage offers the download link for 2.0.1 but mine still shows 2.0.0

The issue seems even bigger considering most of the stuff (basically everything) was detected on-access, meaning the downloaded EXE was detected, not stuff dropped by the downloaded EXE. Thats why i'm so surprised. If those were dropped files i wouldn't be...

Are you saying Panda Cloud is neutralizing threats that it had already detected? I hope I didn't misunderstand what was typed. And yes, Panda will dig around the trash to find anything that it may have missed or failed to neutralize the first time. The detected items are listed in the event log and can be analyzed by visiting the Recycle Bin (quarantine).

2.0.1 does not have an automatic upgrade. It is only a minor upgrade that is offered manually for new installations.

Yes. Well, i can't be 120% sure because nearly all detected stuff is named the same but at least 95% of them, yes. On-Access detects loads of them, but after i do full scan it still finds loads of them again. Mostly in IE temp folder.
And that is even after recommended system reboot which i also don't understand what is its purpose...
