Okay here are my most recent changes:
    I got rid of:
    - SBIE and Chrome - both of them together were really CPU hungry
    - MSE gone as well

    Installed:
    HIPS:
    - Executable Radar Pro 64
    AM:
    - MBAM Pro 32 real time protection
    AV:
    - Roboscan 64 with FW turned off
    Browser:
    - Pale Moon 64 with NS, ABP and Ghostery

My computer feels much faster now :). I can freely multitask Skype video and browse at the same time without CPU going to the crawl.

Wow, some of you guys are pretty sophisticated, have learned a lot since I started reading these forums. I am running XP/SP3, Opera/Yahoo, Comodo 3.0.22.349 firewall set tight, Sandboxie with drop rights, latest version of Avast, set tight, MWBAM, occasional scan, VPN4ALL, Comodo secure DNS server. Most of you would know this is a 512 ram, 32 bit system. Are there any programs you would recommend, that would be an upgrade to what I am running, that would not be resource hogs? I would like to try them out! Thanks.......

I recently created a 200mb install flying virtual machine (MicroXP) that boots to desktop in 7 secs, no office, no chuff, no guff!!
I run it fully sandboxed and do all banking/browsing in it and have it set to auto flush on close.
    Oh and it's all free!

    Note:
I weighed the install up on VMWare Player 5 (use VMWare's vSphere at work so know way around) and Virtualbox but Virtualbox has the edge in that supports snapshots. Total godsend, install something, trash the PC, snapshot back, brilliant.

Now that I run Windows 8 x64 on my primary computers, my setup is pretty standard on all of them.

My current security setup relies primarily on Comodo Firewall with Defense+ and Sandboxie.

I have my Comodo Firewall set to maximum settings and Defense+ on Paranoid mode. Any unrecognized file is sandboxied by Comodo as "Untrusted" so that it can't access operating system assets. Meanwhile, all Internet-facing programs such as my web browser, chat clients, etc are sandboxed with Sandboxie. Those programs run with as limited permissions as possible. Basically, I cut down access until it breaks, then I ease up a little bit so it still works. :p

I have EMET on maximum settings to provide some hardening against attacks and I have configured the Windows 8 early malware detection to only allow Good or Unclassified drivers while blocking anything identified as bad.

As for my web browser, I'm in the process of migrating to IE10. My IE10 setup uses Zones to block scripts on untrusted websites. Whitelisted sites are allowed to run scripts. I have adblock for IE installed on it.

Until I make the full transition, I run Comodo Dragon with ScriptNo, Adblock and Ghostery.

My antivirus is AVG Free 2013. I also have a paid version of MBAM which I have mostly for the website blocking feature.

I ordered my setup from most important (Comodo/Sandboxie) to least important (Windows Defender.) I know that this is a bit heavily layered, but the way I have it setup, it stays out of my way. And it provides a level of peace of mind. :p

Upgraded from XP 32bit to Windows 7 64bit. Added MSE along with Sandboxie (Pd.) and MBAM Pro. System backup with Macrium Reflect.

That is a TALL setup. No doubt. It's a bit beyond my capabilities. However, I am impressed. :thumb:

I'm willing to offer free therapy classes in my rehab. :D First class deals with taking a hammer and banging on the student's pc repeatedly. Then stay pc free for 3 months. :argh:

Well,it's very light. And it's very fast. The only downside, but not a real problem for me,are the automatic updates, just one per day.But i do it manually even every 15 minutes if i want to.:D .And maybe the detection is not as good as Avira's or Avast, but with Sbie and Privatefirewall i should be ok.I was thinking in adding Kingsoft cloud, but i really don't see why i should do it.So it's a no.

Sandboxie continues to rule my security setup.
The one thing I am changing is more frequent closings of sandboxes to discard potential problems. In my mind, it's a good strategy, and it certainly can't hurt.
