I simply have no use for it at the moment.
Maybe in the future, maybe not, but not now.

Well, Jmonge has an extremely severe case of WSS. There's no cure for it.

Had a strange thing happen....Google update.exe roasted my Comodo firewall....had to uninstall, and reinstall. I have blocked Google update, don't surf with Google, use Opera with Yahoo search instead, concerned about Google's privacy policies, and Facebook, blah, blah, blah, we have all heard that before. Anyway, using Comodo 3.0 firewall, in the past, was able to squash Google update, just by clicking "Block" on Comodo, THEN, it decided to rear it's ugly head, and it KEPT trying to update, until it literally ruined Comodo firewall. I was impressed. I thought well, hell, what a wonderful piece of software this is!!! Has anyone else had this sort of nirvana happen with Google update, or, more likely, is it just a boatload of registry errors on this antiquated XP SP/3 running Opera, VPN4ALL, ExploitShield 0.7 beta, Avast, Comodo secure DNS server, Sandboxie, the version of Comodo I WAS running was 3.0, WITHOUT HIPS, just firewall, after I uninstalled/reinstalled, started using the HIPS version, no problem so far, but thats the first time I have seen a firewall get roasted by an updater. Thought it was unusual. I am merciless in my protection, there is no bad stuff on here, use MB to scan for malware, and Eset online scanner, and the built in malware scanner on Comodo firewall. The way I see it, Google can keep their software, their search engine, etc., if it buries itself in your registry and starts roasting whatever else you are running. That is uncalled for.:thumbd: Edited 2 hours later:.........easy fix- go to Control Panel/scheduled tasks......Right click Google update, sent to recycle bin. Same thing with pesky Flash player update. If anyone else has had this problem let me know. I think that should fix it.

Nice setup as always. :thumb: I would have used DW FW but it slowed down my system too much. :( Can you relate?

Yeah the pc needs to be upgraded. But I'll not. That's why I've moved Emsisoft Internet Security Pack to the win7 i3 pc and put wsa in its place. But I think DW fw should have run fine and smooth in the pc even if it's a 1 gb ram xp system. I have tried it many times. And without any AV or other security apps as I know if you have DW you won't need anything else. But whenever I open folders or files or even the start menu they start very slowly. WSA is running top notch. I sometimes try new apps in this pc. So no question of trying dw in the other pc. :)

Hey Amit. Good to see you're back from the darkside. Many times I found DW sluggish. Then after one of several formats it came good. I could never put my finger on it why sometimes all was fine & other times sluggish.

LOL. Yeah I'm the good one now. :D

Good to see you've had some slowness as well. It's weird right? Not supposed to be like that. Maybe because of old machines with old systems. :doubt:

I removed ESET Nod32 AV v6 as it started to give me BSODs. I replaced it with Emsisoft Emergency Kit for weekly on demand scan.

Why not go for EAM? Excellent protection instead of weekly on-demand scans. ;)

I don't know, I might give it a try. For now I will settle down with no AV setup.

To be honest, I don't have much fun with trailing different AVs any more... Most of the time I find out they are more trouble than they're worth.

Oh I just thought since you're using EEK for scans you'd love EAM. ;)

Windows protection: Windows 7 FW also outbound (using Wokhan's notifier to set the rules), 1806 registry trick (using Kees1958 switch on/off regfile), UAC (full). Set NTFS deny execute (using NTFS Permission Tool) on Mail, Media and download directory.

Realtime: All internet facing programs Sandboxed with GeSWall free (using geswall.dat trick) for WMP, Outlook, Chrome. All other application programs (Office 2007, Adobe Reader) mitigated with EMET 3.5

    Adhoc: HitmanPro on demand

Thanks. Previously ran MBAM on demand only. Be interesting to see how things go with the protection module enabled.

MBAM with protection module is very light. You won't even notice it's there. Nearly no difference in system impact between mbam on demand and module. Great protection.:thumb:

Ok, made a few changes in my x64 system...

    Realtime:

Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete (FW set to allow all + website blocking set to allow)
Look 'n' Stop FW (Fantastic FW!)
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro (Great malware protection)
    AdFender (Ad-Muncher free alternative)
    PeerBlock (prevent crappy websites)
PE Guard 2 (for that extra crispy HIPS/EXE Blocker flavor)

    On-Demand:

    Hitman Pro

... What do you guys think? Is this to much??
