Siketa is absolutely correct. EISP = Emsisoft Internet Security Pack which consists of Emsisoft Antimalware + Online Armor Firewall. :)

Running Trusport or Vipre as AV , Spywareblaster and Outpost pro . So far the combo works well , computers boot quickly , run fast , and no crap on them . Check once every 6 months with one of the online scanners just to make sure .
And Firefox with the usual addons

You really need to go back and see what you haven't tried. In reality,by now,you should have every PC in your household setup by now.

My trial of Panda Cloud PRO resulted in me getting a License. Now it's Panda on one Computer and WSA on the other. The best of both worlds...:thumb:

Windows Ultimate x32 lazy admin setup using the build-in protection of the OS as only security layers (and smart way Chrome uses these build-ins to sandbox browser).

    Firewall
Router with Norton DNS and Windows 7 internal FW setup two way (block outbound also)

    Real time protection
    1. Threatgates containment
Disabled USB autoplay/execute USB through GPO. Added 1806 regtweak to place a deny execute on executables originating from other computers (e.g. internet download or mail attachement). Added ACL deny "Traverse folder/execute" for everyone on Download, mail and media folder. Added EMET process mitigation for browser, mail, media-player, pdf-reader and 7-ZIP.

    2. Internet Protection & Privacy
Chrome low rights (untrusted) sandboxes for rendering websites, javascript, (PPAPI) flash and pdf. Chrome build in safe browsing (now also prevents downloads of executables with 1806 regtweak). Chrome is started with --no-referrers and --incognito switches, uses 'click to play' Flash plug-in and allows javascript only from top domains COM and NL. Added 'New tab behavior' and 'Menu bookmarks' extensions, searching with startpage.

    3. User Space protection
Hardened HKCU autorun entries through GPO and Regedit (removed "set value", "create subkey" and "delete" permission for normal users). Set "Basic User" as default level, for all files, except Administrator. Added symantec Run MSI as Admin tweak. This prevents programs from elevating and executing in user directories, but allows to install with "Run As Admin" right click.

    4. Admin Space protection
Set UAC to full, disable intelligent installer recognition, disabled unsigned programs to elevate.

    On demand scan check
HitmanPro free, Sysinternals autoruns => only before monthly backup

    Backup/Imagine
Windows own image backup, Synctoy free for data backup

I see you are from Canada, but here in the US there may be some Black Friday deals coming up. ZA has had discounts and giveaways in the past (a few years back) on Black Friday...I just don't know if they are available to other countries besides the US...you'll need to check...Black Friday is Nov. 23...Cyber Monday sales fall the following Monday but they have been pretty lame the last few years.
