Running Windows 7 64 bit. Got the ESET NOD32 window informing me of a
update from 5.0.94.0 to 5.0.95.0 and would I like to install it, sure, I have
been running ESET NOD32 for close to a year without any trouble at all.

Well its starts its update, Green status bar moving left to right "removing old
versions." It goes through this twice and the second time around the green
bar moves Right to Left, gets to the far Left, window disappears and that is
the end of it all, nothing else happens and I am left without a AV system.
First time I have ever seen a stats bar move Left to Right.

Reboot of computer brings old version back without trouble.

Not sure what is going on with program.

    Thanks for any assistance,

    Chuck

That's weird, why wouldn't the window prompt to update to 5.2.9.1 instead?

It is a strange kettle of fish, now even the signature update is failing.
I did turn in a support ticket to ESET yesterday but so far no response.
I am almost willing to do a complete uninstall and start over but maybe
I had better wait for ESET customer support to respond.
The auto update is wanting to go to 5.0.95.
You say that 5.2.9.1 is the latesto_O

Yes, 5.2.9.12 is current. You might not even need to deinstall and reinstall, just installing it over the running should do it. Will take settings from 5.0.9x. icl. license key.

Well things unfortunately went down hill fast.
I tried to install the latest. 5 2 9 1 and it went just so far and gave me
    a windows/installer/msi error.
Tried to uninstall the old one, same error. It seems as though I have/had
a windows installer error. It is quite a drill to uninstall ESET manually so
elected not to do that. Finally after about 4 hours of searching I found
the Microsoft Windows auto fix web page and was able to get the fix item
to point to ESET and uninstall it.

By that time I had elected to use Malware bytes and AVAST vs ESET NOD32.
Its manual uninstall options just left me cold. I really did like ESET, its been
good up for two years. I must say its not its fault, but the uninstall items
    really gave me pause.

Thanks for the reply's... will consider this case closed..
After about 36 hours, still waiting for ESET to respond to my trouble ticket.
