Import only rules of the firewall

    Hello,

    A few days ago, I made a backup of the configuration.

    I made several changes to the settings and now I want to import the configuration saved but only the rules of the firewall and not the other settings (that I do not want to change).

    Is it possible?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer but it does not answer my question.

    What I want is to retrieve firewall rules and nothing else from a backup of the configuration.

    It can be accomplished by removing all settings but firewall rules from a configuration xml file. Haven't tested it myself yet but I assume that the same can be accomplished by backing up the file "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ESET\ESET Smart Security\epfwdata.bin" and copying it back in safe mode after ESS resinstallation.
