iOS security?

Since a week I own an iPad from work. Isn't it necessary to run any security / AV/ FW or anything?
On my Androidphone I'm running Avast!
I can't find anything for iOS ...

 

I don't think you need anything

 

There is no malware coded for iOS. Therefore no need for an antivirus. That's why you cannot find anything even in the App Store.

 

Maybe you want to protect your information and data setting up a passcode lock.

 

Webroot have a free app for iOS devices. See here. (You don't need to own WSA-IS+ or WSA-C to have this app.)

Why not for ios? It's a widely used os now, isn't it? Why don't malwarecoders not aim for iOS?

 

Apple is focusing on security for their echo system. There is no 100% perfect security system but most users don't need antivirus at this point. Just you need software updates and education.
OS X(since Leopard), individual processes can have their privileges restricted using the sandbox and OS X provides additional protection against buffer overflows.
