Do you normally use an email client such as Outlook, Thunderbird or the built in email client in Opera browser? Or do you access your email (such as gmail or hotmail) by going on the web with your desktop or laptop browser? Or do you access your email with your smart phone/ mobile phone? Or do you have another way of getting to your email? If so, please post.

I allowed for multiple selections so (for example) if you use your phone and desktop 50/50 you can choose both.

Not sure which option to vote for.... I use both Outlook for email via my ISP account, and Gmail for my other email account. I have other web based accounts, but use mostly Gmail and ISP.

Edit: Just noticed I can vote for multiple options.... done....

    All via a desktop.
I run it through MailWasher Pro, then what's left after scrubbing gets pulled off their server into a sandboxed Outlook 2010.
VIPRE has a look at it too.

Mail clients such as Thunderbird and Outlook are a thing of the past for home users. Web based email is safer and faster. Plus you can check your email from any pc in the world.

Gmail notifier for Firefox. I dont see the need for me to use a dedicated program to check my gmail. I never check for email through my phone, actually I hardly ever use internet (browser or email) on my smartphone. The screen feels too small for that.

I can get my email through web interface or through thunderBird. In the case of my ISPs email I have it go straight (with a slight detour at Mailwasher) to ThunderBird.
PostBox recently went from freeware to Paidware, I have PostBox Express version1.0.1

At work I use Outlook, but at home I just access my personal emails online using the beta website for FastMail.fm

I did try using Outlook to access my fastmail emails via IMAP a few years ago, but in the end decided to stick with the web interface.

I only access my e-mails through my Laptop or Desktop. I never ever use my cellphone for that except for my spam e-mails. :D

The question suggests that Thunderbird, Opera and Outlook are somehow the same thing since they're all mail clients. They are not. So perhaps you could rephrase that?
