-He's not a professional, doing so-called tests for years doesn't make you one either.
-The size of the sample set he is using is too small to make any statistical value.
-He didn't verify "malware samples" he had. (You can hear him saying most likely malicious, I don't know if it's malicious, etc.)
-About 13:30 he's looking at a Kingsoft process (vulfix.exe) which is not known by comodo and he doesn't even recognize what it was.
I stopped watching it after that point.

Btw the version he used (SP 4.0) got an update.

Finally youtube "tests" are a good way to see the interface, options, etc. nothing more. They're not by any means enough to judge performance of a software.

  2. Sorry but that's wrong. I never get people's allegance to certain AV brands. It's almost like their brainwashed. Youtube tests are valid, simple as that. People don't like them (when they are done right) because they show up their faviorute brand as junk.

I have to agree with phalanaxus on this, he makes some valid points. While I haven't watched the YouTube video (yet), when the reviewer is making comments such as "most likely malicious, I don't know if it's malicious, etc", I would hardly call it a valid test.

  4. There are many better Youtube tests out there. Some really good ones.

Everyone to their own opinions, but:

Sorry I'm not a fanboy of any software, and I see no reasons to be one. AND I do not use Kingsoft Cloud AV actively either. I tried it, decided didn't like it, uninstalled it, simple as that.

It would not change my view even if Kingsoft did score 10/10 on this "youtube test". I wouldn't base my decision on the performance of the software based on that so called test. Either I try it myself or have a look at what credible organizations like AV-C say (And what they say are not my final thoughts -I don't agree on some parts of their testing/scoring methodology either- it just gives me an idea).

Same problem as before. I can't update from SP5.1 to SP5.2. The server keeps throwing the SP5.1 version at me. The built-in updater also can't.

It's simple. Your website is throwing the SP5.1 at me. The built-in updater also doesn't update the program to SP5.2.

Sher, here I can not recover this problem
so would you mind to let me know if there were any settings on other network control software you installed, which would ask your permission while updating Kingsoft Antivirus?
    Thx.

i mean in the contract report ( your link ) they called their product "Avira Anti-malware"

if so... i like it and it should be like this... with respect to "Malware" definition.:thumb:

Actually thats not true. Any program that performed well in YT tests also performs well in real world. Those that often have problems in YT tests already are usually also no good in real world.

So what if av.test.org produced a youtube testo_O
Or AV comparitives etc.Does that mean there tests are not valid.o_O :ninja:

You are missing the point completely (which you seem to do a lot) - they are professional testing organisations, so of course they would be valid.

well excuse me but you seem to be missing the point im trying to get across.
ive seen many youtube tests and they seem valid to me.
And if you dont mind in any further reply would you be so kind as to not get down to using sarcasm as i dont know why people do this.Maybe its a ego thing o_O
    Thanks for your point though.:thumb:

You seem to be missing the point, you see, those YouTube "Professionals" don't test their samples if it really is malicious or not, they are simply not skilled enough to do proper test. And no, using Malwarebytes and HitmanPro and other "professional" tools doesn't make them skilled. They doesn't have the resources of a true testing organization.

Often they use the malware domain list etc so are they malicious links within those sites or noto_O

They do give a general idea how a product works.:thumb:
