    OK thanks, decided not to go with Updates anymore too. Did a clean install of Win7 32-bit and reinstalled my security setup (AG in LockedDown, SD, HitmanPro, Keriver 1 Click Free). Everything is running smooth :D

    The same caveat applies to uninstalling as to installing; they are two sides of the same coin.

    I wasn't suggesting that preventing AppGuard from re-enabling itself on a restart after setting the protection level to Install or Off would necessarily have solved the problem with uninstalling EAM in your case. I was making a general comment regarding what I have found to be the safest procedure to follow when installing or uninstalling software. I understand that there might be the odd occasion when it is necessary to first uninstall AppGuard before proceeding.

    I only use prepaid internet with very limited bandwidth plus it's really slow and since I reinstalled Windows I have to download all updates again.. So there you go. :D

    Are there compatibility issues between Zemana AntiLogger and Blue Ridge Networks AppGuard?

    I'm using a licensed copy of AppGuard v3.4.2.0 alongside with Zemana AntiLogger v1.9.3.214, and from what I've seen in the logs of AppGuard, it's not compatible. Also, referring to Zemana's compatibility list, it seems Zemana doesn't like AppGuard.

    But is there any possibility to configure AppGuard to better cooperate with the AntiLogger?

    Knowing me, I would risk to forget to reactivate the AG's full protection for every install. So I prefer going the other way.

    I always keep the suspension timeout activated and if/when a softy installation setup ask to reboot system to complete, then, and only then, I go and untick the little box. It lets me less chance to forget somewhen. But it's only me !

    It's not about "installing" windows update. It's the time to do all the updates for 4 computers in my case. Plus there is always something that doesn't go right on one of the machines.

    I do have certain software, that I always run, I just no longer do the windows updates. Nothing broke so why fix, and no infection problems.

    What OS are you running? I believe that AppGuard and Zemana only have compatibility issues on XP. It should not be a problem on Vista or Win7.

    Since people also forget to uncheck the re-enable box, I'm thinking this is an opportunity for a new feature. Perhaps we should honor the suspension timeout value over a reboot. For instance, let's say that you set the suspension timeout to 10 minutes and you reboot after about 2 minutes. Then after reboot, AppGuard protection wouldn't start for approximately 8 minutes. That should cover most install scenarios as well as our tendancy to forget the little things.

    I'm using Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x86, so it's a 32 bit Win 7. In the screenshot you see AppGuard blocks Zemana AntiLogger. I now added the AntiLogger in the AppGuard configuration menu to the PowerApps, and now it seem's there're no longer any compatibility issues. I'll keep this under observation for the next days and weeks.

    I been getting forgetful in my near mid age lately,just the other day I left my oven on for several hours after cooking and when i finally walked to the kitchen hours later,I thought I landed on the sun.:eek: I dont know how manage not to infect my computer or burn my house down lately.

    Late on replying but this is my situation also. The time to update more than doubles if .Net has updates which are extremely slow. After those are installed, reboot, then if you don't want the pc dragged down for days you have to execute ngen.exe executequeueditems or you'll have two mscorsvw.exe processes eating up over half your processing power for days.

    I remember years ago a lady told me never update your computer and I use to think she was nuts.Now it don't sound so nuts anymore when there is three computers in my home and I am the only one that checks them for updates,virus or other windows related problems and its a real pita.On top of that my wife wants to add a desk top and 1 more laptop.:blink:
