    More Stupidity.

    Nobody dislikes your product intrinsically

People just want products that work. Yours does not.

Now there are many who dislike you – but that is because of your actions, not because of the product.

Nobody dislikes the proprietors of your CNET ‘5-Star’ peer products; Spy Cleaner Gold, GoGoData Toolbar, D7, and FreeFixer. Why is that Nick?

    Yet More Stupidity.

Many many people of this forum and others have addressed your lame products and your lame shilling with you over and over again throughout the years. I guess it’s my turn.

It is not “us” that should spend our time more productively.

You can just incessantly repeat your stupidy in message boards over and over and over… or you could go and make your product better – or make the world a better place.

You reportedly made $8.5 million when you sold to support.com. Don’t you have more of a contribution you could make to the planet rather than your incessant shilling for a bad product all over the internet?

    Can't you do better?

We are almost to 57% who believe SAS is a "complete piece of junk, get rid of it."

We offered our product for $9.95 which was a huge discount - I am sorry that offended people - stores all over the USA do the same thing, they have specials - our special did end over a year ago and has not resurfaced - so the time period ended. I don't believe anyone has complained that bought the product for a discounted price. I felt, in my opinion, we were offering a tremendous deal to our users - $9.95 for a professional product.

With SUPERAdBlocker, we actually developed the 5.0 version, put it in pre-release and the decision to discontinue the product was made after acquisition. We do not continue selling the product and still offer support and service for our users. I am sorry we were not able to offer an updated product as we had hoped and worked hard on in development.

So the issue and your constant bashing of SUPERAntiSpyware in fact has really little to do with SUPERAntiSpyware and more to do about a personal issue - I am glad we could get that out in the open.

I am glad you asked! I do lots to support our community and charities and people that are in need.

You are turning this into a personal attack. The bottom line is we work hard on SUPERAntiSpyware and continue to do so - each and every day. We always strive to get better. We listen to our users. The constant round-robin bashing does not improve a product, why not focus on some constructive items and help out. My intention is not to offend people - I am standing up for our product and our user base we have built over the past 8 years. No product is perfect, no person is perfect - why don't we all focus on making things better instead of looking only at the negatives.

    Bravo for you.

Now focus more on the positive aspects of what you can do in the world, and leave this message board alone -- stop the incessant shilling for a bad product.

Come back when you have good test results -- not bad excuses.

    Your Pal,

Again - there's the bashing. We are not selling a bad product. In fact we GIVE AWAY a product that helps/has helped millions of users.

You offered SAS as a "today only" advertisement that went on for years. Stores do not do that for extended sales. If they did, they would be prosecuted for false advertising.

SuperAdblocker 5.0 was in pre-release for how long before SAS was taken over? 2-3 years? There was an initital pre-release of 5.0 that was soon abandoned and then there was the acquisition a number of years later. The pre-release of 5.0 came after several years of SAB not being upgraded or updated on the superadblocker.com web site. But even though the product was abandoned, it was still offered annual and lifetime licenses for sale. However you slice it, the 5.0 pre-release was very buggy, especially on Vista and UAC. That should give people a better idea of about when the pre-release was offered. Windows 7 wasn't even in the picture yet and MS will be releasing Windows Eight soon. How long ago was SAS taken over? I notice that the SAB forum has been removed from the SAS forum. I guess that's one way to eliminate all the upset customer posts with complaints.

When I posted about your upsetting more people than SAS I was speaking of the complaints you read about here on wilders and across the web. I did not say my issue was personal and nothing to do with the product. I would hope an expert would read more carefully.

You continue to make excuses and twist the truth. I don't expect that to change and I doubt anyone else does either. The ironic part is that you claim to be defending your product from the "bashers" but actually every childish post you make drives more users away from your product. Maybe you just don't get it.

Why don't we focus on what everyone here in the group can do to improve SUPERAntiSpyware and other products and help fight against malware? Do something positive!

    Nick, the product is terrible.

To be blunt, the tests indicate that SAS sucks. And I mean serious sucktitude.

The paid product was "DISMAL" according to PCMag.

It was the WORST product tested by MRG.

    From CNET 5-Star Review

SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition is a comprehensive program that can scan and delete spyware and a variety of other types of malware. Although the program cannot deal with true viruses, it's capable of finding and annihilating plenty of other pests.

The program's interface is straightforward, with a large button labeled "Scan your Computer" leading users to the most important feature. Radio buttons let users select a Quick Scan, Complete Scan, Critical Point Scan, or Custom Scan. We decided to start with the Quick scan, which took about three and a half minutes. SuperAntiSpyware detected 107 "threats," all of which were fairly benign tracking cookies. A full scan took much longer - about four hours - and turned up two "critical threats" and 25 "potentially unwanted programs/settings." We were able to deselect any items we wanted to retain using a checkbox, and then delete the rest with the click of a button. The program also has a selection of repairs that can be run to undo damage done by malware, and a scan log keeps a history of all the threats that have been deleted. SuperAntiSpyware has a comprehensive list of FAQs on its Web site, though we found the program easy to use without additional guidance. Overall, we think that SuperAntiSpyware is a good way to supplement your regular antivirus program, and we recommend it.

SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition installs a desktop icon without asking but uninstalls cleanly.

More stupidity and misdirection --- Again.

As you know Nick, CNET is not a professional software testing organization.

Let’s take a look at the other products in the Anti-Spyware Software category that have received the same rating:

    Spy Cleaner Gold
    GoGoData Toolbar
    D7
    FreeFixer

I wonder why most have never heard of this things?

Why aren't these being discussed here in Wilders?

The answer is: Because just like your product – they are lame.

SAS fits very well in that list of products.

SAS is every bit as good as your listed 5-star peers in your category at that site.

    Congratulations.

    -------------

    That's your thing Nick.

It does not matter if logic and reason and evidence are presented, you just shift and repeat stupidity over and over and over...

Really, as much time as you spend bickering on message boards, can't you make your product into one that actually works?

Additionally, Your personal attacks on Wilders members really grow old.

I seem to remember years ago you were banned from Wilders. Maybe that can happen again.

All you do in this forum (and others) is argue and cause dissension.

If you just would focus your time on making a decent product, and then come back to discuss it --then you’d be like the other product developers who are here. Informational, respected, and value added.

I am attacking no one - I am saying NOTHING bad about ANY MEMBER here or any other forum, so don't inject more false statements.

I have no issue with ANYONE on this forum.

The bottom line is "A Single Solution is NOT Enough". SUPERAntiSpyware helps in the fight against Malware and Spyware, etc.

It's not a big surprise that you would want to change the subject as soon as you read my post. How someone with your negative history has orange letters in your name here on wilders is amazing in and of itself.

No, it's called not just running around in circles - we should all work to help people, not put them down or bash. You have stated your opinions, everyone has read them - I have stated mine so let's agree to disagree and move forward onto more positive things.

I would suggest that anyone who has concerns about your credibility should do a search of this site and a search of other forums. It is my opinion (not yours, of course) that people will find a consistently historical pattern of your posts and promises. Those posts made by you have consistently been misleading or just flat out lies. Anyone who sells an abandoned product for years cannot be trusted. That is part of your history, although now you give a completely different account of that long standing problem. Again, people should do their own research to determine your credibility and accuracy regarding your past sales practices. If you ever took responsibility for your past misleading sales practices, instead of making misleading statements and excuses then there may come a time that people can trust you again. But hardly anyone is going to just agree to disagree and move forward with you when that trust has been broken time and time again.

Again, nothing was deceitful, misleading or lies. We ran a special that lasted a period of time and ended. Period. We offered our users a $29.95 product for $9.95 - that allowed people that could not afford a security solution to have one. Somehow we are made out to be "bad" because of this - we didn't make anyone buy, we didn't promise anything that was not delivered.

I have always been available to the users, I personally answer posts and e-mail. What you don't realize is that is there are a whole world of users that do trust me as I have been reputable to them and done right by them - you are harping on things that bother you and a few people, not the entire universe.

It's easy to hide on the Internet - I am not hiding, I am right here answering and dealing with things as I have for 8 years with SUPERAntiSpyware. There is nothing I can say or do that will turn the tide for the small group here, but as I have stated over and over again, I am always available and we are working hard to improve SUPERAntiSpyware to protect our users, now and in the future.

You don't see anything deceitful about an advertisement that says "$9.99 today only" when in fact the $9.99 sale went on for years? And you don't see anything deceitful about continuing to sell an abandoned superadblocker product, for years after it had been abandoned? Also with superadblocker you continually made promises of upgrades coming soon, which never came.

Although you mentioned in an earlier post that a pre-release of superadblocker was being worked on I believe it is more accurate to state that a beta product was worked on for 2 months and then abandoned. I noticed in one of your prior posts that you did not wish to dispute my timeline of the superadblocker product, pre-release and take over. How about give some dates for the last time the superadblocker was updated, when the pre-release was posted on your forum, when working on the pre-release ended and when the takeover of SAS was? That's just 4 dates. Then we can let people decide for themselves whether your prior statement regarding the pre-release and takeover are accurate or misleading. Let people judge for themselves...unless you have something to hide.

We sold a $29.95 product for $9.95 - yes, we had it on special. I don't feel bad for helping people get a quality product for $9.95. There are stores that advertise specials all year long. It may not be your cup of tea, but it's the reality.

Do you realize that we continued to update SUPERAdBlocker's ad-blocking definitions up until we discontinued the product? We continued to do internal development on SUPERAdBlocker as we could afford the resources - we were a small company and spread our resources as best we could - we all worked as hard as possible on each of our products, and we did an amazing job of launching and maintaining SUEPRAntiSpyware in the marketplace. Unfortunately SUPERAdBlocker's demand diminished and we had to focus on SUPERAntiSpyware. I wish we could have had unlimited resources to be able to put the same effort into every product.

As for specific dates, I don't have those, and I won't "guess" to further fan your fire. All you are focusing on is trying to discredit myself and the company - why not look at the fact that we have GIVEN AWAY MILLIONS OF COPIES OF SUPERANTISPYWARE and helped MILLIONS OF USERS.

Thank goodness we have happy and loyal users. I wish you the best in whatever it is you do!

Just so our users know, we are working on improving our testing results with MRG. You should see and improvement on the flash tests in the near future.

So quit hanging out on message boards bickering with people.

As per your own SAB site the last stable version of superadblocker supported Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer through version 7. Firefox 3.x and IE 8 were not yet supported but "will be available in our next public release." That release never came. The SAB "pre-release" version 5.0 was available on your forum November 2009. There was possibly one more pre-release in December 2009 but all support for the pre-release was stopped by January 2010. Promises of upgrades for SAB continued and the license sales of the last stable version of SAB continued, including promises for a stable release to support of the Vista OS. SAS/SAB was acquired by support.com in June 2011, some 18 months after the last pre-release of SAB.

So to wrap up what all the above means, is that you are not a reliable historian.

What that means is we were a resource constrained team of people working our tails off to meet all the demands on our time.

Alright, I gotta say this is getting old, and it did so, a long time ago. Frank & arc1965, we get it, you think SAS is garbage, and you don't like Nick for the numerous reasons you have listed at nauseum. You both are now sounding childish and some of us come to this forum to get away from the Ethugs that litter the other forums.......Let it go, we all hear you, time to move on while you still have some class.
