You received a fix for v. 5.2 about a month ago. A fix for v6 can be provided on demand if somebody's having the issue while using v6 RC.

The release version should be available to the public at the beginning of next year. As I wrote, those having the issue with memory leaks can PM me for a hotfix.

    Hi Marcos.

Do you mean the final version of ESS 6 won't be available until early 2013?
Can you provide the exact date, please?

    Thanks.

I would expect more RC builds, at least 1.

Finally get Game Mode to work (I keep it disabled) as it pops up outside games if any full screen App's at times.

Ability get rid of the Anti Thief Mode from GUI/Console like RTM will do.

This new function Marcos mention other day "Shield something or other".

Best to test all above in case they add to RTM and its broken.

I would say yes it is good to wait, if you don't want to experience a "bad release" that has been rushed out too early.

Nor me but would like to see another build at least with some fixes in case they break anything like before.

I assumed that Eset would release a new version that is officially "Windows 8 compatible" by the time that Windows 8 becomes available to the public (i.e. at the end of October).

If not, that is very disappointing to those of us who wish to use Windows 8 as our main OS. :(

The current pre-release modules make all ESET products fully compatible with Windows 8. By the time Windows 8 is released to the public, the modules will have been made available to all users.

Does that mean that there will be a new release of ESS 5 with all of these modules included as the "officially supported" release for Windows 8, or a new release candidate for ESS 6?

I'm still confused and wondering about the final release of ESS 6. So is it true that it will be released at the beginning of 2013, Marcos? (I'm sorry to ask you this question again because I don't want to wait in the dark :) ).

    Thanks.

Afaik no, because the modules is being pushed out via the daily (VSD) Virus Signature Database updates, so users don't have to do a thing to get them.
Though currently if I get it right, they are only available on the pre-release servers, and to get them one has to enable pre-release updates in the setup-tree. But in time they will be pushed out to non pre-release users as well.

    Hello,

No release schedule for ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus has been announced. When it is time for a release announcement, it will be made here on the forum and other official ESET channels.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

    HI Marcos,

Can you send us hotfix for the so-called "memory leak" in RC6...then we will try to install again RC6.

    Thanks.

well I hope it is as good as V5 is. To me V5 has been the best release of Eset yet, so bring it on.:thumb:
