    Hello,

I'm a former user of Viguard which was a really nice security tool.
As the team went out of business, I'm searching for a new app that includes file certification and allows custom rules (not a sandbox).

Here's a link to show you precisely what I'm talking about:

    Thanks my friend,

    MJ

    Sincerely,

While I'm not exactly sure (since I don't know how exactly Vigard works) , I think you can configure Comodo Internet Security to behave like that and it also offers a French GUI.

Viguard was a behavior blocker you can customised with new rules (ie: prohibit *.exe to create new executables in c:\Windows\, or allow access to *.exe/*.dll to only some choosen app, etc.).

It was really an all-around security software.

The problem is the latest release supports XP at best...
Vista/7/8 aren't supported and will not work with Viguard.

    :)

I've found Geswall or DefenseWall to be the right stuff.
Which one would you choose ?

Looks like they stopped working on GesWall, haven't seen an update in a long time. But still a very good program.

Defiantly DefenseWall.(32-bit only) GesWall appears to be no longer supported or updated by it's developer. Don't get me wrong, Geswall is still great protection.
I've been running DefenceWall for about four years or so and have no intentions on changing anytime soon.
With the exception of changing and rearranging my setup out of boredom, but always going back.
Actively developed, strong security with excellent support from the developer.(Ilya Rabinovich)
Personally I've found Shadow Defender to be the ideal compliment to DefenseWall and have been running this combo for over three years now.
