I didn't know that Pbust for giving free license to active members. Really generous on his part.

I wont request it now. Still testing some other product. Will surely try out panda after this. This time, I would probable have it on my machine for long time.

btw, is he linux installation part still on this version ?

Why not replace the code in the other products with the TruPrevent code in Panda Cloud?

TruPrevent is powerful but a little bit hungry in the resource department. To make it lighter they had to strip it down, so the belief is that the behavioral is weaker.

Note: I have received a few PMs from users requesting 1yr licenses. Sorry, but I have no personal extras.

Enjoying Panda Internet Security 2103 (thanks Pbust!)

I just had one question. Is it normal to take a little over two and a half hours for a full scan?

    Otherwise, it's been working great.

    Not really.

    • Are you under XP or Vista/7?
    • Are you scanning inside compressed archives?
    • Is this your first scan or a subsequent scan?
    • What amount of data (GB) are you scanning?

ill be happy to test the new version installing internet security right now. i actually liked the 2012 version but it was just to heavy for my liking and did slow down browsing. if you say this is a lot lighter ill give it a shot ive always liked the old school panda and as it got heavier i stopped using it.

will they ever somehow consolidate the amount of services at all?? its just a pet peeve of mine i hate all the extra running services. i used the 2012 key on my daughters system i got last time id love a 2013 is key if one is still around ill update her to 2013 and then ill have lots of time to get to know it lol.

OK since it's your first scan it might take longer than normal. Do a reboot (if you haven't since installing PandaIS) and subsequent scans should be faster.

Do you have any other security software installed? If so, uninstall it, reboot (to make sure its drivers are correctly unloaded) and then try again.

    Hi

This time scan took close to 3 hours (full) I do have Webroot Security Essentials installed. But, that is all. It is my understanding that Webroot should not conflict? I can uninstall and see if anything changes.

    Thanks!

Yes please do uninstall Webroot and don't forget to reboot after the uninstall.

Webroot Internet Security Essentials is the old version (2011) which will conflict with Panda. You'll want to upgrade to Webroot SecureAnywhere which should behave much better :)

I have been using Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete for the last year or so. Love it but the Panda suite seems to be enticing me to try it out.Pbust I have sent you a PM requesting a license key please do reply back. I am interested in trying out Panda again after having used Panda Cloud AV on my netbook for a year or so.
