I am considering purchasing a new 'budget' Android Phone.

Will a Android Phone with the following specifications have enough resources to properly run Dr.Web for Android? Does Kaspersky's Android Antivirus use more or less resources than Dr.Web's Android Antivirus?

    OS- Android os 2.3.6
Internal memory -180 MB, 290 MB user available RAM
    CPU- 833 MHz ARMv6
    GPU- Broadcom Videocore IV
Card Slot - microSD, up to 32GB

    Thanks in Advance.

With these specs, in time the phone will properbly get slowed down. My gf has a rooted legend 600mhz and myself a rooted desire 1000mhz and both phones are more or less affected by dr Web.

I decided to go with T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G SmartPhone which has a 1 GHz Single Core CPU.

Sounds like a decent budget phone.

I do not run an AV on my phone. I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus.

I use Avast on my Android phone. It scored well in tests and has an anti-theft module based on TheftAware (which can be hidden unlike most of the others).
