4 security suites that protect all your devices

McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro and Webroot offer protection for all your devices plus Web-based management.

    Highlights

    The review of WSA: http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9230387/4_security_suites_that_protect_all_your_devices?taxonomyId=17&pageNumber=5

And they didn't know that WSA will support OS X as said by Joe: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=2108219&postcount=14

    Nice review!

On the subject of OSX: any chance of a Windows/OSX combo package or offer? A lot of OSX users will (most likely) run a VM with Windows, which will need protection as well.

    Kind regards,

    Geri

Yes - the Fall release will include protection for X number of devices, whether they're OSX/Windows/Android/iOS. You can choose whatever combination you wish and install in whichever order you prefer.

Fantastic - that's going to be an interesting "assault" on WR's overworked support staff trying to convert our mullti-seat licenses across platforms when they're still valiantly trying to catch up with "simple"(?) Prevx > WSA license conversions? :(
(Sorry couldn't resist - let's face it,trivial though it is, there's nothing else one can criticise about Prevx/WSA!) ;)

There aren't any keycode changes required for multiplatform support ;)

Not a criticism, just an observation but I do think the activation system on Android devices needs to be simplified somewhat, my daughter had quite some difficulty in doing this & setting it up on my wife’s device caused some friction in the house! To the degree I'm not inclined to recommend my friends buying WSA Complete for the 'Mobile Protection' lest I end up setting the Android either up myself or over the phone.

Also the locate device & scream feature both which are excellent I feel need not lock the device 'unless required' rather than this being a default action, once again I have ended up giving advice how to unlock when all users wanted was to locate a phone – Just my 10 pence worth - :)

    Interesting.

Wish I had known this before.

    I have I think a 5 or 6 year essentials licence.

Just ordered a complete licence for the iOS access.

How recently is "Just ordered"? There's a 70-day return policy for authorized purchases* IIRC. So see what comes out with the new release and adjust accordingly.

(*Direct buys and authorized resales. If you got it for like $5, it's probably not an authorized resale.)
