I may be wrong, but hasn't there been a few Mac vulnerabilities of late? I'm not saying it is all to do with Safari though.

Honestly SweX, Safari saved my arse when I couldn't use Firefox 3 & IE 7 freaked out on me with some conflict with the old Yahoo! Messenger I used then. I thought Safari 3 was very clever, & it was the first time I used a bookmarking toolbar, another Mac invention possibly. I only downloaded it out of curiosity. It saved me trying to install a browser from disc or something. However, it was a tad unstable even then.

I really do keep giving it another chance. ;)

A few reasons why Firefox is my browser: NoScript being available is probably the most important but being able to get rid of the search bar and to open bookmarks in the left hand side of the browser are also important. I wont use any browser that don't allow me to customize it that way.

Just curious but how many times do you intend to express the same opinion? :)

I can't help but to LOL at this reply. Btw, Firefox still remain as my favorite browser. Waiting for some form of official 'protected mode' though..

I'm hoping it will be able to use the AppContainer sandbox in Windows 8.

I just switched back to Firefox.

I used Chrome for the longest time because of the very effective sandbox, but now I just run Firefox within sandboxie. Now I get all the extensions I missed. :p

I also generally prefer the Firefox interface.

okay I didn't see this thread, should have searched.

After testing every single browser on the market I ended up using opera. It's 64bit version is the lightest on resources compared to the other 32bit mammoths out there. I have a slow processor with plenty of RAM and SSD and opera 64bit feels the best.
As far as I know it is the only officially supported 64bit browser after IE. Both FF and Chrome don't have official versions - and this IMO is a shame. Most computers are now 64bit windows 7 and there is still no chrome, no firefox.... seriously...

Firefox here, although I'm using the Palemoon incarnation.
Why FF? Because it's so very configurable.

Palemoon is probably the closes to 64bit FF, it still felt slow on my system...

I don't think it holds true right now. Chrome has a lot of extensions and so does Opera. I was actually surprised that when moving from Firefox to Chrome to Opera, I had no problems getting all of my extensions working, usually even the exact same extensions....
The only problem I have is HTTPS everywhere which is for chrome and firefox only.

  25. Chrome by far!
