Awesome! :argh: This will probably mean the detection of IKARUS but without the fp's.

BitDefender signatures so far aren't available in Emsisoft Emergency Kit (beta updates turned on).

EEK will be updated later when this gets stable, right now it's beta. :D

Been using it a couple hours since i got home, to be honest the only thing i've done is check forums etc, so no difference here LOL. :D

Ah I was hoping maybe you had forgotten that. I was hiding in the tree. My source just got the news late.:D That's all. Okay you win the bet. But I'm not walking the streets naked. :argh: From now on I'll think twice before doubting your claims. How about that?:-*

  13. As long as it performs I couldn't care less what engine it uses be that Microsoft, Aviria or now it seems Bitdefender. I don't see it as a bad thing that malware writers target it because it's just signiture based detection from BD the Emsisoft software is still there with behavior blocker and a like,

:( Ikarus is an excellent engine, may be the best. Sorry for BD, but I would not wish to lose Ikarus.

good if that happens, but cumulatively it will be higher because of BD....i tell from my recent exp, as you know

im sure your top official source had known it very well , but they couldn't say a word about it until the whole bargain was done. that's the process !!
    :X

btw how can i install the beta without having to install the predecessor and then updating through the beta channel o_O

Hmm....if it happens like that then Emsisoft made a huge mistake replacing Ikarus with BD.:(

Yep, i've read all posts on that forum. The graphic shows what is added to the 2nd scan engine that is used now (Ikarus), and the same will happen with the new engine (Bitdefender) in EAM version 7.

EAM will fall in popularity due to the new BD scan engine. I can get BD with many other security options that are less money. I also find that suites are simpler then EAM as the old TallEmu firewall can cause issues. I would imagine people would find the same protection for less in products like BullGuard and Roboscan, in a simple package. Ikarus was great and will be missed. ;)
