    @JoeBlack40

    Not yet, it is not present also in the Pro version, we will re-add it back in few days.

    @sg09

    Yes, as wrote by @BoerenkoolMetWorst the free version is compatible with both x86 and x64 OS starting from v2.6.5.0 :)

    We have released a new version with mainly a bug fixed:

    [29-08-2012] v2.6.6.0
    + Fixed refreshing of processes in x86 version when "Processes" tab is opened
    + Fixed IE problem that allowed it to start a process if "Auto-Allow System Processes" was checked

    Both Free and Pro version have been updated.

    since it computes MD5 on exes it would be nice if it would periodically give a warning on known malware exes. you could then run a test on that file and decide to change it from white list to black list. perhaps a separate program could be run on the database and compared with another file of known malware to highlight possibly dangerous files. one approach is to compare with good MD5s and give a warning if not same and give a stronger warning if MD5 is equal to known malware file hopefully before malware has become activated and done its damage.

    Can EXE Radar protect against loading of malicious DLL-files with rundll32.exe or if someone replace the original DLL-file of any program?

    The software is an antiexecutable and doesn't watch for or warn about dll files.

    Don't think they offer the option you're looking for. However, I can tell you that they're very faithful about sending an e-mail notifying you as soon as a new update is available. It's a little different approach, but it seems to work for them.

    Finally! I'm glad that there's LUA and 64-bit support now. What used to be an 'admin account-only' program is now, in it's defaults settings ("Auto-Allow Microsoft System Processes" and "Allow All Software from the Programs Files Folder"), best coupled with a LUA account. See the beauty of it? ;)

    Anyway, I hope that NVT can re-consider providing self-protection on the free version too. Regardless of the arguments of the effectiveness, this remains as a basic feature in most security programs.

    As it stands, the other Pro features are fair enough to entice/encourage a user to pay (and support the kind developer). I know NVT himself has recommended free users to blacklist taskkill.exe as a 'workaround' to the limitation, so the question is: Is there really a need for free users to be penalized on this?

    P.S. I know I'm close to pushing my luck but still...:p

    Bugs:
    1) White-listing problem
    - teamviewer portable, whitelisted at least 5 times in the past 2 days
    - flashgot, whitelisted 3 times in the past 2 days
    2) MBAM (also white-listing problem, I suspect)
    - I created custom rules for MBAM to perform memory scan every 1xhour, quick scan 1xday and complete scan 1xweek. After I created these rules MBAM's active protection would get disabled every hour on the click and the program would shut down and disappear from taskbar. I suspected that this was ERP problem and so I have manually whitelisted all .exe in the MBAM folder. So far in the past 3 hours MBAM's active protection did not shut down.
    - So I think there is a general problem with ERP whitelisting. Some aplications have to be whitelisted more than once, others even thou they have been whitelisted still get blocked (MBAM)

    Other Suggestions:
    UI - So far you guys are keeping it nice and simple, I really like it. However whenever .exe gets blocked I get a big pop out window in the middle of the screen. Here is what I suggest:
    a) Try to make the pop out window smaller. Do we really need to know whether its a 32bit or 64bit process? Do we need to know the description? Im pretty sure that these options are not needed to determine whether .exe is safe or not. Also how many people know what MD5 Hash is?
    b) Process/Path/CmdLine - now having all 3 of these might be important or might not. I don't know. Usually every time they show the same path.
    c) Biggest problem right now is that the pop out window is cluttered. I see a bunch of directories and I don't even know what is being lunched until I look very carefully at each path. To make it easier on the end user I would suggest that a pop out window shows the path of the executable in black ink and the name of the executable in red. That way when I lunch a trusted application I can quickly look and see, okay this is Skype lunching.

    3) Autoupdate to the newest version

    @safeguy

    Thank you for the suggestions, we'll discuss that soon ;)

    @mattbiernat

    Regarding the possible Whitelisting bug, I will try to reproduce the problem and I'll see what happens.

    Regarding your suggestions, they looks interesting, we'll discuss about this too in the next days ;)

    Can you consider idea to make a whitelist purge button?
    I use a lot of beta programs so my white list is huge, and I think this can decrease exe radar free or pro speed.
    Exemple : I use Opera Beta and there was 3 update in 3 days, and Opera process are 3 whitelisted each version so total 9 entries in whitelist and 6 are older, a purge choice will be helpfull, simply ERP can check the folders and see the older versions present on list and prompt user to purge it based on hash file, or see if there are duplicate path and in case delete the older. Something similar is in Comodo Internet Security and is a great feature.
    Second thing, white list apperance only by date, is better imo if can be a choose for order in base of process name too, in this case i can easely manual delete older entries at the moment is not so easy

    Complimenti bel programma :thumb:

    @Romagnolo1973

    Sure, we will add "old-hash cleanup" feature in the next version ;)

    Grazie!

    @arsenaloyal

    It happens when you install the program in a location different from the default installation path (Program Files), we will fix this in the next version.

  19. I'd consider buying this except their webpage looks dead to me... hasn't been updated in awhile.

    Is it just me?

    Ok installed it and seems and testing it right now.

    I don't know why there is no trial version for the pro on the website,something the developers should consider putting.

    Another suggestion would be to create an official support forum on wilders instead of this one thread.

    Just my opinion looks a bit more professional that's all.

    So far I like what I see and things are simple to understand. With running it awhile and reading the help manual I'm getting to learn how it works. I really like the white and black list option,and that password protect is just dandy. I tried lock down and it works great,people this program seems to work just like we were told. Is it worth the $20.00 price tag ......YES......:D
