    Hi,

I'm updating from the microsoft site but I keep getting to update this one over and over again:

Beveiligingsupdate voor 817787 (Windows Media Player voor Windows XP)
    Downloadgrootte: 359 kB, < 1 minuut

In other words, the update did not work somehow.

does anybody has a clue on how to fix this?

    Regards

    Frans

This is NOT about drivers update but critical update.

Further more, there is no error msg, only when I rescan (even after reboot) the same update is still needed to download, according to MS-update.

If I read this well, it's another problem all together! right?

    Right! :D

You might go to the second link and see if you can download and reinstall Media Player. Then try windows update.

There is also a troubleshooter on the Windows update site to help you work through update problems.

OK, missed the last link! ;-)

But both options did not work. The patch tells me the language is not correct. I'm using Dutch and selected that. Selecting English did not help either

Troubleshooter? Do you have a link? Not sure what you mean here!

    Thanks

Look on the Windows update site on the left side under support.
