I should give them another chance if they acknowledge the problem first. If they don't, how can you expect me to do that?

Im using for 6 days now and really like it.

One thing bothers me. When i download a file it scans it and tells me it's secure or unknown. I don't need this information, alert me only if it's a threat. An option for this would be nice.

go to its setting on last option I think and you can choose not to be notified of safe or unknown.

Please have an update and restart KAV, I think this issue is resolved.
    Thank you!

"Do not remind me in case of Safe result" should be checked in Boundary Denfese Setting page if you would not like to see the secure or unknown result.

in what country kingsoft is developed ?

and i see kingsoft has no real-time protection , right ? i dunno you but i like this ! becuz it has a strong behavior monitor instead , i dont give a damn about real-time protection.

i think it does have real time protection

in settings there is no real-time but is system defense . system defense only works when you execute a program or a file..

for what it's worth i navigated into a folder filled with various malwares and it didn't react , but it could detect them all when using on-demand scan. and also when i try to execute them kingsoft blocks and remove them.

They are both websites for Kingsoft. However the kingsofresearch.com website is outdated, and only mentions an old version of Kingsoft which is a different product to the one being discussed here,

Behavioral Blocker is designed against trojans.

It is a bit chatty. Improvement suggestion

    a) Cloud check on known good hashes of Windows OS and some well known programs (Microsoft Office and the free Kingsoft Office :D ), to tell unexperienced user it is okay to allow (green color)
    b) Warning coloring difference between signed (yellow) and unsigned programs (orange)

Yes it is. There are several Chinese antiviruses, including Rising Antivirus which has a free version too

Or make it smarter where a chain of events dictates what popup (if any) should be displayed. Basically making a behavior analyzer/blocker, not just blocker triggered by a single rule. Adding whitelist into the mix would help a lot as well.

    Thx

:D my son studies user interface/game design, as former software developer, I enjoy reading his books on useability and user interface design. Maybe I should start a "bald & bold boys" software house again specialising in senior citizen software design, when I stop with freelance marketing & sales. :D

any truth in the stories that kingsoft actually created malware to make a profit.?
Also i dont see the point of having another AV running alongside your primary security product and if this is the case then change your security product.
This should be run on its own on a computer or not at all.
    Regards.

I've never heard of this before, although a quick Google search found a post at Comodo which said it had been discussed here. Has anyone got any links or information on this?

I disagree. No antivirus solution will find all threats, so having a second one installed too can help finding threats the other one missed.

I disagree too. Kingsoft is a good second line in defense, like a cloud edition of Malwarebytes.

Isnt the rule of thumb to not have two AV,s running at the same time or is kingsoft just a cloud AV.?
