Updated Kapersky Virus Removal Tool + KAV rescue CD

You have to give Kaspersky credit for releasing both tools for free. Both are fine additions to my Malware Toolkit.

Available @ Majorgeeks for download but re-directs you to Kaspersky's website. AVIRA also has an updated rescue cd @ Majorgeeks too.

Anyone else dig these releases?

 

AFAIK most AV vendors always update their rescue cd & virus removal tool.

 

I periodically download the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10. The file date given on Kasperky's download folder shows the current date or close to the current date. However, when I boot that Kasperky Rescue Disk 10 ISO the Malware signature date usually shows approximately 2 months old.

Is there a 'frequently updated' Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 ISO file available for download? If yes, where do I download it?

The Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool is frequently updated.

I don't think it's updated a lot. check Majorgeeks or Softpedia they usually list the updated versions. A whole heap of rescue cd'ss just came out F-Secure, Dr Web, Avira, Kaspersky, AVG all just came out.

 

you can always use the kaspersky stand alone updater tool to download the databases then just store it on a usb stick for updating.
