What was your first Anti-Virus (paid/complimentary) that you installed on your first ever PC?

I bought my first PC in 2002 and got PC-Cillin Internet Security free for 3 months.

My first paid subscription was PC-Cillin Internet Security for 1-year.

The main reason behind choosing Trend Micro was that I hardly knew anything security-related to begin with and thought it was the best program at that time.

For me it was Trend Micro Pccillin 98 that arrived with the motherboard. I didn't have internet connection back then so i used that one in its CD form (it has never updated).

RAV antivirus from GeCAD, a Romanian company I believe.
I do remember it was 2001, version 2, and originally came on a CD.

I was amazed to find version 8 still available for download (but not updatable) at Softpedia.com because RAV was sold to Microsoft some years ago.

I really liked RAV. It was fast and had, for that time, a very comprehensive GUI.

AVG 1998. Used them for a long time and Avast. All free AV's, never paid for a suite.

My first antivirus was Norton Antivirus 2001. I had to buy it because my computer was heavily infected, after that I brought my pc to a repair shop. There wasn't any security software installed on it before.
