    Hello,
I have just pre-ordered windows 8 pro upgrade so I can test out hyper v client and also make use of group policy and other features. Im that in windows 8 microsoft have finaly included a pdf reader and have translated the whole OS in to the GB english.
the preorder price of £49.99 didn't seem to bad IMHO.

    i did not vote.
you should have added a "Maybe" option.
Life is not only made of 'black and white'. ;)

    i'm thinking about it.
the upgrade price of 40$ is very appealing.

I am really in doubt, but at the present time I am more inclined to say no to windows 8. Why? because windows 7 has for me proved to be very stable, no hiccups whatsoever. So why change something that works and spins with every program/driver on my laptop. Maybe over time I change to windows 8........

    Cheers, Janus

I voted no because I don't like Windows 8 at all, and even if I did, Windows 7 serves me well with no issues and it's barely 3 years old, with plenty of life left in it. I will stick with 7 for a long time as long as I use Windows....

$14 is pretty cheap! Im pretty sure that there will be tons of aplications to get rid of Metro and even to uninstall it from the system. Speedwise Windows 8 is also faster than 7. What is not to like?

I wouldn't even use Windows 8 if you paid me!

Windows 8 is the worst thing that could ever appen to a PC

I think it too early to tell. When the final product rolls out, will it offer me advantages over win7? If so, maybe. But, even with advantages, will its new design really be what I want? Don't know that answer until it is released.

I could really care less as long as it does what I want, and doesn't do what I don't want.

I have been an early adopter of Windows operating systems since Windows 95.

I have been using Windows 8 for a couple of weeks now, and to be perfectly honest, it doesn't offer me anything that Windows 7 had. In fact, it offers me less. A very bland look, no Aero, no sidebar gadgets which I found handy. And I don't have any need for Metro.

The Windows 7 look and feel suited me fine. And the start and search menu worked brilliantly for me.
I am going back to Windows 7.

Now there is an opinion that I appreciate! All facts, relating to an individuals preferences, without any biases. Nicely put, and put in such a way that it seems not designed to persuade others one way or another, just putting it out there.
