I hear ya on that, it's crazy how much they charge for a yearly license.

That is why I bought a 3-user license (Lifetime) of Super Easy Live Defrag, for $24.95.

im more annoyed that the free version continues to get updated while they have not touched the pro paid version in months. so why bother paying i mean if anything the paid users should be updated BEFORE the free ones.

Did you check to see if there's an update from within the app?

yea its like a slap in the face, not very nice.We try to support then it turns free or the free gets the same attention as paid and even worse, they do a vanish Act like David Blaine. There has been very few license's I bought in over a decade on computers for that being one of the reason's.

Devils advocate: Maybe they already put a great deal of R&D into the paid product, knowing that they have to give the best product to their paid customers, and therefore, it requires fewer bug fixes?

You should ask their support. I'm sure they are just preparing for a big update for the paid version and the Free version is some kind of beta test or something.. :D

I know it's not beta officially but maybe they are pushing updates for the FREE version to test the stability of their product then when they don't get negative feedback they will release it to the paid product.

so free will be comp with win 8 before paid. seriously big mistake for them to do things that way, and corrected ssd recognition etc... those are bog updates that should be added to paid first before even bothering with free imo. or add it to both for that matter if they have to.

Hello everyone. I saw this discussion and felt that I simply had to chime in. Zfactor, I’m sorry you feel that Auslogics developers have done the updates wrong. There is an explanation as to why these programs got updated now - Disk Defrag and other utilities that got updated are part of the Auslogics BoostSpeed package – our paid all-in-one PC optimization suite, and their update is part of the major update to BoostSpeed (version 5.4 has just been released). Since the utilities got updated in the paid software suite, we didn’t see a reason why we shouldn’t apply these updates to the respective standalone products.
As for Disk Defrag Pro, I know that our developers are currently working on some updates for it. It’s a much more complex program than Disk Defrag Free, so it takes more time and effort to work out issues and come up with fixes and improvements. One thing I know for a fact is that there will be an update released in the very near future, so stay tuned.
Thanks a lot for your support and for using our software!

I have used Auslogics Disk Defrag Free for quite awhile now and love it. I find that all their products are good so whatever their plan is is fine with me.

Glad I did not pay for the Pro version. I use the free version because I only defrag on-demand since I run in shadow mode most of the time, and there's no use in wasting resources to defrag a shadow.

thank you for the response i do however still fell there should bemore time dedicated to the paid versions that the free ones. but hopefully the update is worth waiting for. i own 3 lic's in fact and am both impressed and dissapointed at the same time. i like the program a lot. i just wish it was kept up to date a bit faster like the free versions are.

    Im a bit puzzled here.
If it is just a defragger that was required then why not use the free version.?
What does the paid PRO version offer ?
    Regards.:thumb:

Hi there. The Pro version has more optimization options, boot-time defrag, advanced scheduling options and some other added cool features that let it take better care of your hard drives. You can see a comparison table here - http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag-pro/#comparison

It all comes down to how you use your computer and what you want from a defragger. Disk Defrag Pro does more to enhance your PC's overall performance.
