    Taken the plunge!

    Hardened FW/D+ and hardened SandboxIE.
Thought about simply adding the AV part of CIS but thought 'what the hell', let's live dangerously eh?!

An ESET online scanner monthly check will do me, methinks!

    :D

Me too having no resident AV on the comp I'm writing this post:
    DefenseWall PF :thumb: ,
Comodo Time Machine 2.8 :thumb: ,
Panda Cloud Cleaner - scan about once a week,
Bitdefender Free (I removed all resident components from the RAM) - updates about once a week - in case to check some file.

    No problems for 3 weeks.

I've also been Av-less for a week now. It feels great and free. :D

@Smiggy Don't forget to add HMP, MBAM and an imaging software.

Maybe they meant to say 'Real-time AV free'. :D

Yeah naturally when we say AV free we actually automatically refer to realtime/on-access AV. Also MBAM is not an AV. HitmanPro is a behavior based multi-AV cloud second opinion scanner.

Well... well... it all depends how often you are using them :D :D
At least the OP is only using a web scan once a month... :thumb:

I feel on my AV-free comp I will come to the same monthly scans - the intervals between using non-resident avs inevitably grow.

You should be more then covered, I've been AV free (realtime that is) for about four years without any infections or issues that were not self inflicted. :D
