Updated to 8.0.1.220 here, currently shutting down WSA because I am noticing much higher disk I/O (2-3 MBPS compared to my usual 40-50 KBPS) and slow hibernation (over 2 minutes instead of usual 10 seconds) after installed intel's latest chipset driver from here:

Did you try rebooting since the update? If not please reboot and check again!

Yes, actually this happened AFTER rebooting, since the .216 version.

Nothing significant has changed to increase disk I/O from WSA so I'd suspect it's more likely to be the updated chipset.

    Hi Herve,

You can use your Beta download link and install over top as I did to get this version and reboot!

It kept telling me I had the latest. In the end I got it the same way Daniel did, but I didn't need to reboot. ;)

It's best to reboot even though it doesn't ask especially the Beta's and if your having any issues with older builds! See here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=2097646&postcount=7

This driver update installs couple of intel services, WSA monitors them. If I change them from monitor to allow, the response is much better, the I/O is still a little higher than the pre-install state but not by much.

If you write into our support inbox, they should be able to whitelist your files for you :)

It would be best to contact WSA support and ask them to whitelist some of those files so they would need to send you an app to upload some logs or you could do a scan and save a scan log and put the files in the support ticket! https://www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp?

EDIT: Joe beat me to it again! :p

I know, I have done this couple of times (wsalogs) over past few months to whitelist a lot of applications. But I already have couple of issues discussing there. I had sent the scan logs for them just before I installed the update so I think I will until those are addressed.

I am seeing some strange behavior under the "cleanup function" with both 216 & 220. Yesterday WSA ran a clean up at 12am (midnight) although the "enable scheduled cleanup" box was not ticked so I tried to change the time from 12am to 3am when the computer is always turned off but after entering my WSA password the WSA gui locked up and I had to shut WSA down to continue using the computer. Turned the computer off well before 12am last night but when I turned it on this morning the "view cleanup log" shew a cleanup run at 12:00:38 o_O
How does WSA run a cleanup when the computer is switched off (at the wall socket - no power at all) :(

12:00 would be noon, not midnight. This is changed in the newest beta which is currently only available for manual update, but we'll be pushing it out shortly.

Not correct. The cleanup log shows:

    Wed 08-08-2012 12:00:38 - Beginning cleanup

The computer was switched on at 07:45am this morning, that log was there 30mins later when I checked.

Also having issues with cleanup. UI say's last cleanup was 15 hrs ago, log say's 10 min. ago, neither where authorized, scheduled cleanup is unchecked.

I'm not having the Auto Clean Up issue with .220.
