Wait wait... the actual full program... out tomorrow?

I have been waiting a long time for this old war axe to become shiny and new. I am actually excited about them.

I was close to buying a life time license a year or two ago, but there wasn't 64bit compatibility at the time. Now that it isn't an issue any longer, I plan to buy a license assuming they are still lifetime, and reasonably priced.

It appears the US version costs $30. 119yuan = about $18.70, so I guess Americans have to pay a little more?

I would say its only fair, as we make more money and they offer such a generous lifetime license anyway. I am glad the Chinese get a discount on a home grown project. I think more home-grown products should have discounts for the country they comes from. :thumb:

Hope the firewall has a setting like the old one where you can block "all" "in & out" unless defined by rules. I liked that as it was a simple way to know that no info leaks were happening unless you want them to.

Also when is V8 gonna be uploaded? its the 8'th in china now and i don't see it up on the English site yet. ;)

Will that be a separate license, and an update to the existing program?

    Website is really slow.

Also, no more 90 day trial. Now only 30 days.

I have not tried this latest release yet, but the alpha I've been using the past few weeks hasn't given me many pop-ups. Funny thing is, as I initiated the download of todays release, I got one. lol

    The license can be used.

Old customers may enjoy preferential treatment.

Being one of the first to buy a license for twister on Wilders years ago back in 2008/2009, I can say the new version looks okay, I do miss the simplicity though.. and the second it was installed there were a bunch of registry FP's that could have caused my system a lot of grief. I used to love V7 and really hope these issues will get sorted out. o_O

I miss the color of the older GUI. The new GUIs looks more modern, but a bit bland.

I agree. I had to uninstall it shortly after. I can't trust it on my system with the amount of things it was doing and the FP's it was making.

I preferred it how it used to be, simple and logical. you had your signatures and your HIPS which was very easy to use and configure as it would give you a simple to read alert with a % rating. I also liked the old UI better as it was light for a reason and it was just good and did not require the flashy looks that everyone is going for these days.

Give me an AV like twister but with a simple change. Plain GUI - Simple HIPS - Simple Signatures. Does not need all this registry protect stuff the way its set up now as that should be "HIPS" anyway and not its own separate module. I would be quite happy with the signatures, simple HIPS and a grey/white/black UI, the way it is now just seems messy and this is from a guy that used to go out of his way to upload western malware packs to their database. :ouch:

I agree, the last version was simple and very good. The new versions detection went down a little bit for some reason...

I think i may have found the problem.Twister auto installs to program files x86.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and set the path to program files (im using 64 bit windows) rather than program files x86 and the updater now works.
