    I need some help. I don't think "WhiteList a Custom Folder" is working properly. I try to white list this directory C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\Install\AM_Delta_Patch_1.131.682.0.exe . This is for Microsoft Security Essentials. My problem is every time I get a MSE .exe update i get a popup from ERP. How can I run ERP and MSE together without the ERP popups when MSE dose a definition update?

    Thank you

    @ellison64 @JoeBlack40

    Yes, after we release v2.5 we should release after few days the trial and free version updated.

    @Troy45

    In v2.5 we will add support for Windows updates, so ERP will not alert you for processes related to Windows updates, it should supprot also MSE updates. Regarding the problem about the Whitelist Custom Folder, I will try to reproduce the problem and it should be fixed in v2.5 (if it is a bug).

    Even if i put the check mark on "automatically start with windows" the software goes only on demand.
    Free version on windows vista.
    Any suggestion?

    @JeffBuck

    It is a known problem in the old version 1.3.6.5 since it uses Task Scheduler to startup, in some cases it may fail (ex: task scheduler service is disabled, LUA accoutn, etc). The new free version will be updated soon with the latest stable x86/x64 version.

    @KelvinW4

    We started from few days to work in the activation system, most probably are needed two weeks and half, considering all needed testings, but we'll do that since a lot of users have reported your same reactivation issues :)

    I am trying to password protect the following processes through ERP...

    regedit.exe
    cmd.exe
    taskmgr.exe
    explorer.exe

    How would I go about doing this?

    I entered a password in the "Enable Master Password Security" option, then I added the following executables to Protected Processes, but it doesn't ask for the password upon execution.

    Am I doing something wrong here?

    Some examples on how to successfully password protect a process would be greatly appreciated.

    Before to add a process in the "Protected Processes" make sure that:

    1) The process is not present in the WhiteList
    2) The process is not present in the BlackList
    3) The option "Auto-Allow Microsoft System Processes" is disabled (if you plan to password protect system processes)

    NOTE:
    In v2.6 we will make sure that even if the option "Auto-Allow Microsoft System Processes" is enabled and you want to password protect system processes, it will be possible.

    Now move to Settings=>Protection:

    - Enter a password and click the save button
    - Enable the option "Enable Master Password Security"

    Move to "Protected Processes" and add the process you want to password protect.

    Now try to open the process, it should ask you for the password.

    Thank you for the help, that definitely worked.

    That would definitely be better, can't wait for 2.6. In the meantime, I'll have "Auto-Allow Windows Protected Processes" disabled

    Quick question, Does ERP provide any encryption method to protect the master password?

    FOUND A BUG - Protected Processes disappear after system restart

    1. Turn off "Auto-Allow Windows Protected Processes"

    2. Add anything to the protected processes area

    3. Set Master Password

    4. Processes aren't executed until password is entered (Works fine)

    5. Restart your computer

    6. Go back to protected processes and all added processes will be deleted

    @RADEON

    We've not yet added encryption of password, we'll add that in the next version with a default password to be used in case of forgotten password.

    I could reproduce the issue, already sent you a pre-release version for testing ;)

    @KelvinW4

    We've finished our own activation system, now we will proceed to create an SDK for it and then include in ERP, some more weeks are needed :)

    What type of processes would normally be "protected." Some examples would be helpful (XP SP3).

    A recommendation would be to password protect these processes:

    C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\regedt32.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe

    Example:

    http://postimage.org/image/s36kzz1j9/

    By password protecting the above processes, other PC users cannot open the protected processes without typing the correct master password.

    OK, that makes sense.

    By the way, I love this little app. Keep up the good work.

    I can't use it still because of the re-activation issues. It will have to wait I guess.
    +Good changelog:thumb:
