We do have a known anomaly on the User-Space tab where if you double-click on a file when adding it to user-space, it adds the desktop. This is even documented in the release notes (not that anyone ever reads them):
When adding a file to user-space policy, select the file from the file browser and click on the “OK” button. Do NOT double-click on the file.
Apparently there is a similar problem for Power Apps which we haven't been able to recreate here. Please let us know the exact sequence of key strokes you are using to create this problem because we will address in the next release. I think to get around this issue, basically you just want to ensure that the path to the power app appears in the edit box by selecting the file in the browser box (vs. double-clicking) before clicking on OK.

Also, would you confirm that you are using version 3.4?

The conflict with Zemana Antilogger should only appear on XP systems. I believe you're running Windows 7 so this should not be an issue for you.

To be more specific, AppGuard and Zemana AntiLogger are incompatible only on XP. Vista and Windows 7 should not have this issue. It is because on XP, both products are using the same hooking method. On Vista and Windows 7, AppGuard does not make use of such hooking methods and should be compatible with all products (even those that continue to use this hooking method).

One of AppGuard's protections is "InstallGuard". This protects your computer from malware installing malicious software, but it also protects your computer from malware uninstalling your software as well. Turn AppGuard to "Install" or "Off" when uninstalling software that isn't published by a trusted publisher.

I'm sorry that you encountered this compatibility issue. I will recommend to our web team that they include an incompatibility matrix on our website to avoid these issues. BTW, the one on Zemana's web site is not quite accurate. AppGuard should be compatible with Zemana on Vista and Windows 7 systems.

Yeah. But, it also makes sense to exist in the consumer version. Home computers aren't all used by just one person. So, it doesn't make much sense to have to log in to different user account to apply settings; it all should be done from a central manager. :)

AppGuard Enterprise's (AGE) intended use is to manage AppGuard policy for multiple computers. In the case of AGE, there is only one policy per machine (which I believe is what you'd like here as well).

I'll suggest that we add the ability for a Super User to be able to modify the "default" policy as a candidate feature in an upcoming release. The "default" policy is the term we use to refer to the machine's AppGuard policy that gets applied for all users.

Has anyone running Appguard, noticed any lag with their browser. Firefox is stuttery, pages are a tad slow loading, and when i scroll with the mouse wheel its jittery.
I have uninstalled Appgaurd, and seem to have noticed an improvement.
Maybe its something else eg wireless connection.
    Anyone ?

Yes, I was double-clicking it to add it to the Power Apps. When I just selected the file as you suggested above, it added without a hitch.

BTW, I am using the latest version 3.4.2.0

Many thanks for such a fine product and excellent support.

    Best regards,

I brought this up before I believe in this thread somewhere. Can we See a Option in a later release to password protect the Gui to prevent protection from being lowered or turned off. It's to easy to lower or disable protection from the task icon.
If it can be done from parental control I do not see how as it will not allow me to enter a password there.

Blueridge Networks needs to list the latest stable build available on the site so customers can check to make sure they have the latest stable build available. I know there is a feature integrated into AG that checks this, but if you are like me then you would still like to verify this for yourself. I'm currently using V 3.4.2.0. Is this the latest stable build available?

I am using Appguard for the first time. I have set it to locked down mode. I have some portable software in drive D. Appguard block them when I tried to launch them. Should I Add the Folder containing the portable softwares to the 'user sapce' and select 'No' in the include column. Or should I add these softwares to the 'guarded application' list.

Are there any easy to understand tutorials available? Especially on topics like initial set-up, what programs to guard and exclude from some protections. I know the initial set-up should be good but what programs should I consider to add? I am getting ready to trial and want to have a decent idea what to do. This thread has become so long it has become hard to go through for answers without a bit of confusion for a newbie to the program like me.
