    Looks like that to me...or at least that was my first reaction. Slight lack of originality...but then again that happens to all vendors at some time or another. ;)

    it is good to me actually ! comodo's using only the other vendors GUI :d

    at least it has its own engine , not like others which all have the bitdefender engine :argh:

    Uh oh, the new GUI is sucking me in!

    1. So what's up with the HIPS and sandbox, was one removed or what?

    2. What is the Virtual Kiosk?

    3. Do you think this could be configured to be nearly as secure as DefenseWall, GeSWall, AppGuard?

    It appears that the MODs there say it will be significantly lighter and will have permanent caches despite the many new features added.

    Rather had comodo firewall with kapersky hips and bitdefender av :D than gui design copied of these topnotch security apps.

    One of my friend said they are enhancing everything even its database for lowering the FPs percentage.

    No. Both exits and BB also included now. Automatic Sandbox now includes full virtualization

    Its a virtualized env. for browsing and other computing tasks..per comodo definition. more info at comodo R&D

    Cannot be told for an unreleased product. But as per them, it is now modularized and individual protection elements can be enabled/disabled.
    Sandbox can be used by disabling all other, same way for BB,VK.

    Maybe because avast gets its revenue primarily as an av company whereas comodo has its finger in many pies?

    I thought their main business was certificates. I have read somewhere that they have nearly 15% market share worldwide. For the corporate market they also provide security services like web vulnability scanning, PCI compliancy (any company that accepts creditscards), etc.

    When you look at the (ad hoc and seamingly random) development of all differenty type of (copy cat) like security or security related applications, they must have deep pockets. When software would be ones core business they would have been bankrupt for a long time with Comodo style development. So for all the jokes one can make of its owner, the vision of his greatness to supply free security software to help grow his certificate business works, to be honest it works very well, looking at the continuing growth in certificate market.
