As far as the visuals go, I've tweaked my Fox so heavily that I don't notice most of the "improvements".
In terms of functionality, I don't have anything to complain about.

 

I do. Regularly, from FileHippo and MajorGeeks. Without qualm. Never been even a whiff of a problem regarding anything 'dodgy'.

I didn't get that menu in your screen shot, just a full-window "click to enable plugins" message. (To clarify the context, this was when about to load a Java applet on a game site.) But I'd guess from your image there's a special icon which appears in the address bar when appropriate, which if clicked drops down that menu.

But your aboutermissions tip worked fine, many thanks -- nice to find a one-stop way to set both global and per-site permissions. While my experience with Win goes back to the 3.1 days, about:blank and about:config have pretty much been the sum total of my "about:" knowledge.

 

Comparing firefox 14 with chrome ,i honestly wondered whether google had bought out mozilla?
