I like only using one browser to do everything...hence.. I use Firefox + IETab but no other as I dont like having multiple browsers... I would've used Google Chrome if only it didn't have this little annoyance: In IETAB for Firefox, I usually play MSN Spades, after I sign in using my MSN account, when I press on "Play Now", the Playing Window opens in a new tab, which is what I like! Now in Chrome, when I sign in, then click on Play Now, it opens the playing game in an entirely new window....and there is no option to make it open popups in a new tab in IETAB Does anyone know any magical trick to force Google Chrome popups which are IETAB specific to open in a new tab rather than a new Window?
I am addicted to Spades (cards game) and MSN Spades only works on IE hence I have to use IE Tab, but the fact that the popup opens in a totally new window when I launch the game is so annoying I dont like having more than one browser window open just one with all my running tabs help me switch to chrome completely bro.... any suggestions regarding the above problem I mentioned?
MSN games are likely built to work only for IE. Nothing to do there except maybe spoof your User Agent. ScriptNo does that and there are likely other extensions.
Most of the time I use SeaMonkey. I have K-Meleon but haven't used it in a long time. ATM, giving Palemoon a try. Seems pretty good. On those occasions that I'm actually using 2 browsers at once, one of them is thru Tor.
Sometimes, just spoofing may not help. But if one wants to spoof without use of extensions, here's a dead thread of mine.
Firefox across all systems. I occasionally use Internet Explorer in Windows, Safari in OS X and Konqueror in Linux, sometime Lynx or Links also.
I voted for one browser (firefox) because I use it 99% of the time. The only time I will use IE is for Updates and the very rare occasion I find a site that will not work for firefox because of an add-on I have and do not want to bother changing the options for it.
Waterfox is my default, but I also have Chrome as a failsafe. If a page won't load in WF for instance, I check it in Chrome to see if the problem is the site of WF. Sometimes I just use Chrome for the change.
I only use Iron version 18 with fanboys adblock list, along with Sandboxie, for needed browser protection.
I use chromium daily. I have installed, at times, opera/firefox/qtweb/<some other flavor of the month>. And of course IE. I use a different browser for specific purposes and with specific sandboxes. Since I restore my system image frequently, what browsers I have installed depends on what I plan on doing. This is one of my methods to not using security applications other than sandboxie. Sul.
I use Pale Moon x64 99% of the time, and only use IE a couple of times a month if a problem occurs opening/rendering a site properly with PMx64.
I use Chrome in Win 7 and Firefox in Linux and spend about half my time in each, so it's pretty evenly split... But I only have one browser installed in each OS. Don't ask me why, I don't really know....
