Yeah so does Ikarus and other AVs. Huge updates are no biggie. And if you update within 3 to 4 days then it should not be more than 50 to 60 mb unless new program components are downloaded.

You've been saying that for weeks. Tell us already.:D You got an insider at Emsisoft?

Hopefully they write a program that doesn't crash my system. That would be a welcome change.

Sorry in advance if this was already asked, I could not find it.
Anyone knows why Prevx was removed from the test and not replaced by latest webroot WSA?

Agree, some consistency is developing, with only minor changes in rankings compared to cumulative results after 4 tests.

BluePoint, DefenseWall, Emsisoft, Kaspersky & Zeman/HMP continue to hold down the #1 slot.
Avast and GFI still share 2nd place.
Ikarus dropped from 3rd to 4th.
Panda dropped into a tie for 5th with MBAM.
Eset moved up a notch from 7th into a tie with Symantec for 6th.
BitDefender and AVG, 8th & 9th respectively after last test, switched places.
McAfee, Trend Micro and Microsoft are still sucking hind teat.

In the light of the latest test results, I'm wondering how Kaspersky AV manages to pass all of them with flying colors.
Other than just virus signatures, what else does Kaspersky rely on to catch malware ?

I don't use it thus I don't know how it works so, if somebody using it could shed some light to learn how it works, what other technologies it is using ?

yes. because KAV has no app control part,

i'm not glad with bitdefender results , and this one contradicts with its previous results from AV-C , etc.

    Regards,
    Amin
