I've been away for quite some time, and I haven't had time to play with my computer for months. :( But now I'm finally back!

I absolutely love the new feature with Power Apps. It makes AppGuard a lot more user friendly! No problems whatsoever to run Sandboxie together with AppGuard. No more weird log messages. :thumb:

Who knows any AppGuard tests, especially vs DefenseWall?

In Locked Down mode, the event shows Prevented <Sandboxie Control> from reading memory of <Firefox> does this weaken Sandboxie? o_O

Should Sandboxie Control be added to Power Apps, or ignore the message?

I'd add Sandboxie Control to Power Apps as Sandboxie is a trusted application. Be very restrictive with adding more applications though. :)

c:\windows\system32\mrt.exe is already in there by default. Should I leave this as a power app or remove it from the list?

MRT.exe is Microsoft's malware removal tool. We at Blue Ridge recommend that you scan your computer periodically with MRT. In order to be effective when AppGuard protection is on, MRT needs to be specified as an AppGuard power application. If you're not using mrt.exe then you can remove it from the power applications list.

Hi Kiko. I provide customer support for AppGuard and our recommendation is that you also install an Anti-virus software. Although AppGuard blocks viruses from harming your system, it does not clean them off of the system. We recommend that you use Microsoft Security Essentials for your Anti-virus program. It is a free download from Microsoft.
Regarding the use of a password, check out the parental controls feature. There is a section in the Help that describes this feature. If you have more specific questions, email AppGuard@BlueRidgeNetworks.com.

    Thanks shadek, and Barb C.

Why is there a limit of 16 power apps allowed?
Would be nice to allow folders since there are many exe's in one program, also having AG remembering the folder I browsed to last.

    Hi Barb_C

Is a simple scan for virus not enough with appguard ?
I mean appguard in stand-alone real-time protection and periodically scans with malwarebytes and hitman for example. I know many people works like that with defensewall and appguard seems to be like it.

    Thanks.

Power Applications should be used very sparingly. Since any program called by a power application also becomes a power application if you can identify the main applications for a particular program suite, then you only need to add those particular programs.

Any word on when there will be an option to turn off: "AppGuard is phoning home to determine if there is a new version available"?
    Thanks.

This is "Blocked HTTP" in peerblock, Online armor doesn't even notice the connection probably like most so-called firewalls:thumbd: .
It is just the annoying flashing of peerblock every 10 seconds. I know there is an option to stop the blinking, I want to see what is blocked otherwise.
No reason for a program to check for an update this often.
    USERS CHOICE! PLEASE.

On my new system running Windows 7 pro 64 bit and Sandboxie paid, I installed Appguard and adjusted for Sandboxie via PowerApps and added Sandbox container folder to userspace but I had problem launching Opera 12 sandboxed, getting some type of message saying something about Opera profile could not be accessed. If I add Opera to PowerApps, it seems to work but I don't have to add any other browsers to PowerApps. Has anyone run into this. I did not see it on my older systemes running Vista although I have not tried latest AppGuard on them. Thanks.

I have the same problem using Opera 12 with Sandboxie (win 7x64). Happy to know it's not only me. There is also that problem to start JDownloder that is always there even after many months of telling them about it.

    Thanks for the reply Vivek,

I did add it, however its still blocking the process. I added a few entries from Norton and to no avail. I also tried to uninstall Norton and set Appguard to install mode, re-installed Norton and still same thing. Ill keep experimenting with it see what i can do.

AppGuard is a great app., but it doesn't work the way I want to it work. :( I already suggested it via e-mail, but not sure if it will make it to the "home" version, though.

This is the only thing that would made me look at it; I also know of other people who would also get it, if it worked like I think it should work. Let us hope... let us hope. :D
