    what I really like about Norton so much is that it is not on my system.:D

    I'm gonna keep one of my XP pcs AV free like until I throw the pc away. :D Now that I'm running SuRun I'm good thx to Kees and Sul of course. :)

    with self protection on and sonar on agresive mode i tried to uninstall it using winpatrol plus,Mbam Pro the file assesin and webroot by blocking the norton procesess and only webroot was able to remove norton services,and the file assesin fail to remove it and winpatrol plus also fail good job webroot:thumb:

    :thumb: It is surprising sometimes how much trash is left behind after a normal uninstall. Last night after removing what seemed to me like a simple game, RevoPro found a couple of dozen parts of the program still on the computer. Two clicks and it was all gone.

    I used the free version for a year or two, never had a problem backing up or installing a system image. I moved over to Macrium from Acronis when True Image Home 2012 pro version came out, which seemed bloated to me, but that's just my opinion, there are others here who like it. I got the pro version of Macrium a month or so ago when it was on sale. From the description it seems like the pro version has the added ability to re-install an image to a completely new hard drive if the old one self-destructs. But even if I misunderstood that doesn't matter, I like supporting companies that make software that does what it's supposed to.

    Added MBAM Pro. Using what's in my sig. :) It's very light, fast and secure. ;)
