With the imminent release of Mountain Lion I would be very interested to know if NTFS for Mac will be fully compatible with it, and all of it's updated Apple technologies.

Also, will HFS+ for Windows still work the same with Mountain Lion and Windows 7 / XP? Windows 8 is fast approaching, any foreseeable problems there for HFS+?

I would mainly use these two for transferring data between a Mac and PC using Flash drives, but as file sizes grow it has become necessary to move from FAT32 to NTFS (or HFS+) on these devices.

    Thanks!

    Hello JonathanM,

Yes. Compatible versions of HFS+ for Windows and NTFS for Mac OS X will be released right after the official release of new OSes.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Would existing users get that as a free update, for example if I purchase before the release?

If you purchased the software within 30 days of the release you will be upgraded at no charge if the software purchase is over that 30 days you will have the option to purchase the software at a 50% discount generally.
